The service was second to none! What a fantstic team of staff you have, that is by far the best service I have gotten from anywhere on the Gold Coast in years...... You made a weekend away a fantastic journey and I thank you for your hospitality, beautiful rooms, value for money and good honest service - this is something lacking on the Gold Coast and it is so nice to see someone, bucking the trend of rudeness. Have already booked my next stay with you guys and I can't wait to come back - I urg.
all reviews » We loved our time at the Royal Palm. They sent an SMS to advise our room was ready and we checked in around 10am. This was great as we could then plan our day. The kids loved the pool. It was heated and had a spa and slide. It has direct access to the beach and has a great play park about 200m away. Easy access to the freeway as well and was about 25 mins to the theme parks. All in all we had a great time. Only downside was that we didn't have long enough. Could easily have stayed anothe. As a family with 2 young children under 5, this was the place to be. The access to local parks and the beach is excellent. The resort style feeling with the facilities was such a relief as we did not need to hire a car during our 5 day stay. Everything was at our doorstep with a supermarket just a short stroll for in house cooking. I highly recommend Royal Palm Resort for families looking to have value for money while on a budget with children. The VIEW!! Wow. The unit was clean and had everything a family needs. The pool was excellent and the fact that the beach and Currumbin Estuary were so close with no roads to cross was fantastic. Also loved the feel of Palm Beach. It had a family feel without the hustle and bustle of Surfers etc. Despite the bad weather we were still able to enjoy the pool and heated spa. Great holiday, we will be back!. The location was fantastic - beachfront, lovely view of the ocean and coastline, very peaceful. Being away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the Gold Coast was great for us. Our apartment was spacious and homely. It had everything we needed, especially a great view! The pool was lots of fun for the kids and relaxing for us. We all enjoyed the spa pool and the steam room as well. The rooms were fabulous, we stayed in 2 different ones with 2 different spectacular views! All of the conveniences of home at our fingertips in both. The location is second to none. The pool facilities are beautifully designed clean and an appropriate length for a decent swim. Beach access is superb...no roadways to contend with! The staff has been very helpful and accommodating. Apartments were clean and spacious, friendly staff, additional entertainment, i.e mini gold, tennis courts, pool (we loved the pool), being so close to the beach was great. Easy access to car park. Variety of things to do in the area for everyone, family with young kids, or older kids, things for just the parents to do!. My children and I had an awesome time. The facilities were great with friendly helpful staff. My boys enjoyed the swimming pool and games room. If we had stayed longer, I'm sure they would have liked to try tennis. Close to all amentities and easy access to the highways. Definitely recommend AA+++. Stayed @ Royal Palms Resort @ currumbin , It was comfortable , clean a little older style although the views were terrific , saw whales directly out towards the Ocean. Location central to all arears of the Gold Coast and Tweed , Northern New South Wales. Cost was very affordable. Staying in a services apt means that some apt wil be different. We had no air con. But our location was great. The building is very tired and is in an1980s time warp but the facility and location and value for nobey far exceed the silver wallpaper. Nice to be away from surfers. Location and listening to waves crashing on the beach! The view was amazing, bed was so comfy and spa was great. Pool looked inviting and its huge! Not enough toilet paper and dish-washing/dish-washer liquid supplied. Internet in the foyer was turned off at night; there was not mention or notification that this would happen. Gym could do with a refit of equipment. Car park a little confusing at first and very tight turn to get in and out of parking bay. Tv in bedroom did not work & foxtell kept cutting out on main tv. No cutting board in kitchen. Much if the cutlery & crockery needed washing before use. Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay, wished we could have stayed longer. Our oven didn't work and when we asked about it the maintenance man said the owner doesn't want to spend any money on it. That was a bit disappointing as we like to cook our own meals. Apartment was old and needs a refurbishment. The standard did not impact on our enjoyment. didn't have any complaint only carparking space was a little tight,otherwise fantastic. we had two young children and on the 20 level there was no lock on our fly screen door to let fresh sea breeze air in. kitchen appliances are old need updating and seeing a lady who lives in the building verbally abuse a 2yr old for splashing in the spa made me feel uncomfortable and sick to the stomach. need instructions on how to use washing machine\dryer. Basement was old and run down Treadbare carpet in the master bedroom. Nothing we didnt like at all. Nothing. The gym was ancient. just that the room could have been more clean. but overall royal palm resort is 9/10..loved it. the bedrooms didnt have lights only lamps. Mini golf scruffy and extra cost Poor maintenance - eg door to balcony from Master bedroom was permanently jammed shut Location was bit far from main Gold Coast attractions. The kitchen and bathrooms were not particularly clean. The curtains in the second bedroom were so thin and light that our grandson was awake at 5.30 every morning !!. As we were there doing a course, our course went from 9 am to 5 pm daily. As the office is only opened from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to midday on weekends it was very hard to finalize my account. Also I thought it was very rude to have to pay $4 for clean towels. As our stay was for 3 days I thought we would be entitled to clean towels free of charge. When had friends over would of liked to allow in from room, instead of going down. And maybe a faimly rate, Mum, dad and kids? Instead per head a faimly is a faimly and norm dad pays. Marks on the walls and carpets. Cracked tiles in the kitchen Towel rails bent. Leaking around the kitchen tap. Not correctly installed shelves in ensuite bathroom. The fact it rained most of the time so couldn''t use the facilities provided. Rooms were dated, painting the old brown decor with white helped but the cooking facilities were still quite old. Was a little futher away from shopping and eateries than I thought it would be especially if you did not have a car. A little dated and tired looking in hallways,full opening windows with no screens and non locking balcony doors that are a little nerving with young children.Balcony hand rails are a little flimsy with quite a bit of flex in them.They definitely would not pass safety standards of today. Getting from the lower car park with baggage. The lift does not service this carpark.
