Excellent location for us as we were picked up from airport by Travelodge and were able to walk a short distance to pick up our Apollo camper next morning & then return to Travelodge for our luggage. The staff were great and very helpful, the small restaurant was relaxed with great food and the room was very comfortable and roomy. The price, compared to our home state of WA, was very good for such a top class hotel. Thank you Travelodge for making our first night in Tasmania so memorable.
all reviews » The room was large and well maintained apart from one down-light above the kitchen sink which was not working. The suite had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and cooperative. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Overall, I would give it an 8 out of 10. This is clearly an airport hotel, so you would understand if staff were less welcoming and more business like, but not so in this case. We found nothing to complain about for our short stay at this facility. It's not a destination in itself but it's a very nice transit point after a long flight. I was travelling with my sister who has a disability. The staff very kindly upgraded us to an executive suite for her comfort. Room was very clean and comfortable. Location was great foreatly morning departure from the airport. Breakfast was included and was pretty good. Very impressed with the service from all staff. Arriving late the lovely people in the restaurant were able to give us a meal with no fuss even though it was right on closing. Very friendly manager even drove us to pickup our motorhome the next morning. Top service :). The location : If you have a plane leaving early in the morning, this is the right place to stay since the hotel is good and located very near the airport. Otherwise... better stay in town since there is nothing much to do near an airport. Comfortable and spacious room, clean and big bathroom. The entrance foyer smelt like vomlt which was a bit off putting so I was glad I wasn't staying to long and didn't have to pass through it more than necessary. 1) The fact of having to pay an extra to get an internet access (wifi). Guests are only "offered" a few minutes of free wifi connection in the lobby. 2) The fact of having to pay a (small) extra for the shuttle going to the airport "after hours". Place can be hard to find, especially at night. Clearer road signs would help. Nothing - no airport or traffic noise. ME ordering the big breakfast first morning, huge and lasted me all day. The price of $15 for the continental breakfast of basic cereals, fruit and tea/coffee was, I thought, a bit excessive. No pastries ??!!. In time a swimming pool would be nice. Nothing to dislike. I missed the shuttle bus so the airport rang the hotel to return to pick me up. Although only a five minute trip, I waited in the cold and rain for nearly an hour. Not impressed. Nil except the price is a little bit high. Not much food for vegetarians. Awkward to get to the entrance at night if you are not familiar with the area. You have to pay for wifi access. nothing. Luved all of it. A little business like in feel. Nil response. A sign needs to be on the edge of the road for night time viewing for locating the motel. Restaurant prices a bit high for what you get. Need to improve the wine list at the restaurant. Bed was not comfortable unless we slept apart. ( hump in the middle of bed ). Shower strength was very disappointing. Buffet breakfast meagre and poor quality. Only one harassed person trying her best. Needs two at peak times. There was nothing that I didn't like. N/a. The ownership of the hotel has changed as well as some rules (no free wifi, charge for card payment), someone should inform guests about it before arrival to give choice - take it or leave it. If you're on business.. Not many facilities after the work is done.
