I loved the position (we were being picked up as a group at the surf club directly opposite) and the very friendly reception. We were allowed an early check in for the bags. The motel has been very tastefully refurbed and the bed was great. Had we stayed another night the kitchenette would have been handy. Would highly recommend. The hotel was in the perfect location- right next to the beach and 2 minutes away from the bars and restaurants. The room was modern and clean and the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Fantastic value for money as well!.
all reviews » Location was excellent, and the security (with gates shut at night) appreciated as this also made the units quieter. The owners were really friendly and helpful, loaning us their body boards and allowing us a later check out. This 'Travel Lodge' style motel was a real suprise and we enjoyed our 2 nights there. The lights outside the units stay on all night and the blockout curtains dont go quite high enough. Dark rooms are just my preference. not having a sink in the kitchen. Early morning garbage collection in laneway behind units was quite loud. Nothing, everything was great. It was quite noisy early in the mornings from birds and rubbish collectors. Didn't detract from the positive experience, though. I had to leave :-(. Bit expensive. Neighbours noise. The curtains did not block out the morning light like before 6 am when the garbage truck shattered the silence with smashing bottles against a steel bin every morning.
