Location handy to town. Good facilities.safe. staff couldn't get a hold of us prior to check in so left room unlocked with key in all ready for us. When I rang locked out not realising main office was at another location they got is in and were very helpful. Kitchen utensils and plates etc we stocked bbq was a great addition!. Friendly and efficient staff Ease of booking and flexible arrangements Cheap Great value Convenient location Functional set up for everyone staying there eg some "common" foods were provided eg milk, eggs and there was ample space to store your own grocery supplies.
all reviews » The location was perfect for my needs. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great price with breakfast supplied. This is great for people on a budget as there is a shared kitchen with boxes for each room to store your own supplies in the fridge. The price was good, close to the cbd & public transport. The place was clean & tidy. Breakfast was simple & self service. I only needed a bed as I was not there all day. I found this Lodge ideal for my needs in Bundaberg. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The accommodation was well liked by us. We were so pleased with what we saw that we will again stay at the lodge, when we visit our family in Bundaberg. We both loved staying there. Great budget accomodation, wonderful to have hot water only a week after the 2013 floods. Close to town, breakfast ingredients and shared kitchen were great. very clean,comfortable and pleasant quiet location. The common area and kitchen were also very clean and probably a nice place to meet other travellers. A great place to stay would certainly return. Facilities, position in town and layout of the B and B all EXCELLENT. Breakfast was good. Great location next to the hospital. Good continental breakfast you can have when ever you needed to. Communication from owners, and very pleasant kitchen dining and lounge area in which to relax. that all the fixings for a basic breakfast were available for me.It was close to where I needed to go. Ok hotel, if you stay 1 night...clean, good location. kitchen living area location. parking was good,. close to town. value for money. It was a nice villa with most essentials there. No cooking oil was a pain as we were travelling so didn't have this but was not a major issue. Ironing board was rubbish. Glass windows by room door let in light in morning and you can actually see through it-not very private. No luggage rack in one room. No full length mirrors Undersized bedside table and lamp Complicated access arrangement - keys to be picked up in another location - rediculous. no wine glasses. Others leaving their washing up not finished. A couple of more pillows and tissues would have been nice, but otherwise enjoyable. As I was there for a week, I would have liked some where to hang my clothes. It doesn't have to be a wardrobe just a rack space was available above the plant arrangement. Room 3 - Dust around the vent in the ceiling directly above the bed. A couple of permanent clothes hangers would be a bonus. My breakfast would have been a lot nicer if there was some salt & pepper and a bit of cooking oil for the eggs, otherwise great. Walls are a bit thin we could hear everything from next door. Carpet in hallway needs cleaning or replacing. Shower very difficult to adjust to correct temperature-either cold or boiling hot. Bathroom on the small side for a family. Other guests would park our carparking space. It should be be signposted for " Villa use only". Room was small but as stated for the price we didn't mind. Stayed in room 5 air con needs attention and sun light in roof needs cover . But would stay again . no hair dryer no notes for Internet connection when arrived late. Nothing. No office on site. We were disappointed that the there was no food for breakfast so we had to buy our own. Not that I didn't like it but it was strange that there was no on site reception or staff. Not a complaint just the first time I have seen that. having to phone to make contact about entry into the building also not having anythin but phone contact with manager. Bring back the juice for breakfast!. The "exit" sign that shone through the glass panel of my room. It was very bright and could not sleep. Bed a bit hard and double bed too small for two people. Also sky light in room kept waking me up. The ants in the kitchen. Our room was very small, but it was sufficient for what we needed. the street appeal was not that good, but good when we got inside. the light coming through the skylight. stains on the carpet. Couldn't stay longer. light bulb was blown the shower leaked and you didnt see anybody when you got their so you could not tell any one about what needed fixing. Room wasn't ready until 4pm. Dirty linen from the rooms piled up in a corner. Breakfast supplies were extremely low and not replenished.No on-site staff, though young lady who brought me a key was very friendly. I would like to have had the choice of brown or white bread. No window in the room; but there was a 'light tube' in the ceiling. I would have liked skim milk, I came with a friend had two rooms his room No4 and mine No5 the tv only worked on one channel and the bed was too short for him. Other guests noisey when coming in late and in the kitchen. There is no staff there - if you want to get in contact with someone, you have to call a phone number...but the staff is nice and helpful over the phone. The room was a bit basic - there was no real window, just some daylight through the bathroom. There was no bread left for us at the complimentary breakfast. Speed humps cheap beds. The glass panel beside the bedroom door, had to hang a towel in front to block out light in morning. should be a curfew on using washer and dryer, was kept awake until after 1am tenant doing laundry, has to get up and turn dryer off. Walls were thin as paper. I had to ask the couple next door to stop talking at 2am in the morning. we could here people snoring. the blind did not cover the window far enough, so the street light shone in all night. the shower had mould in the corners. the fridge in our room was so Iced up we couldn't use the freezer. The airconditioners whined all night. No fly screens Uncomfortable lounges Noisy air conditioners Not enough glasses. no personal contact. That you can't get the key at the actual villa, you have to drive/take a taxi somewhere else to get the key, which we wasn't informed about. Samething when returning the key. Staff that we dealt with at arrival was very snoty and not at all professional. No staff at counter when returning key at 8.30am in the morning. Very more information and service provided. Alexandra lodge is excellent place for back packers .there is no body to to give you any instruction very strange place ...
