I stayed in the family room and i must say that the interior decor of the motel is stunning, beautifully furnished, and induces a sort of warmth in the cold winter. The red-bricked room comes equipped with 2 single beds and a double bed, a little pantry/kitchen (with all the essentials like bread toaster, kettle, and microwave oven etc.), and a bar table situated by the window. WiFi and a large LCD TV is available for your enjoyment, and the various paintings on the walls makes the room feel mo.
all reviews » I have stayed at this establishment previously making use of both standard and deluxe accommodation. This stay was deluxe double room within the newer building. The accommodation provided was reasonable and most suitable for our stay. I have no complaints, but recommend the deluxe rooms over the standard rooms. Beach Drive Motel isn't The Hilton but it's clean. Comfortable and in a good location. Chris and Gail are excellent hosts who care a lot about what customers think. We had a deluxe apartment and it had everything we needed. The room (22) was very big. The bed was by far the most comfortable I have slept in for a long time. The location is great. Within walking distance to the main street, clubs and pubs. it was value for money, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and made it feel like home. Would definitely stay here again. convenience of motel to Hospital, as was escorting a friend for eye surgery there. Stayed at same motel for previous medical related business. Excellent location, friendly staff, helpful owner. The room was more than adequate with a microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Location was excellent if you like the beach and golf. Reception was friendly and we are returning in November staying in their Penthouse. Clean, friendly staff, great service, comfortable, very close to water, beautiful view, close to beaches and marina and entertainment. It is ok for the money. Pleasant host. Location, vis-a-vis the town. Nothing. Nothing to complain about. The exterior colour scheme of the complex isn't flattering. The yellow is a bit bright. White or sand colour would do the place more justice. The hot and cold mix in the shower was a bit ordinary. No basic kitchen utensils (plate,ect). Only sample cups for coffee and no ice cube trays to make ice and sit on the balcony to admire the view whilst having a cold drink. That being said I would stay there again. only negative aspect is parking when motel is full. The shower flooded if the volume was turned up to what we would consider normal. Noisy guests until 2.00am and Hosts of the Motel were not available at premises to complain. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. It sells itself as a budget motel but is by no means lacking in quality. Morning when I woke up,I observed some garbage around the lawn which could have been done. Can't think of anything we did not like. The shower head. There are some great shower heads out there, theses days even the water saving ones. I just felt that it did not give out a good coverage but the pressure was good. Even with the cold spell Of water I got all of a sudden. Shampoo & conditioner would be nice!. nothing. Nothing. Shower rose was too focussed. Cups rather small. Only thing it missed was a kitchenette but for budget accommodation A+++. Parking is a bit of a hassle at times. Vintage car guests inconsiderate of other people. Pokey main room, one towel rack in bathroom, dreadful aspect out of window that was impossible to look through it was so high and JUST TRY TO WASH YOUR FACE IN THE HANDBASIN!!!.
