This small boutique hotel is beautiful inside (and discretely unassuming from the street). The rooms are spacious and well-lighted, with beautiful hardwood floors and patios. The upstairs terrace is lovely place to relax with a glass of wine. The complementary breakfast was excellent. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, gracious, patient, helpful. They happily reserved dinner reservations and made arrangements for us to see a tango show and much more. The main metro line is a few blocks.
all reviews » Very helpful, friendly staff. They arranged to have us met at the airport after our long flight. They recommended a nearby excellent restaurant - La Choza - for our evening meal. Magnolia is a charming, small property with more ambience than a large, chain hotel. Very clean rooms. Great breakfast provided as well. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke English which was great for us. Our room was beautiful, the breakfasts were terrific and they had great restaurant suggestions. The hotel was very convenient for shopping in Palermo Soho which was our favorite neighborhood. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Rooftop terrace with comfy chairs & open whenever you wanted to be there, welcome glass of wine, wine bar service at front desk, made to order breakfast & service in courtyard or inside. NIce size rooms, beautifully appointed. The rooms were spacious, well appointed, and quite luxurious. The staff was well spoken in English and very helpful. The breakfasts included many home-made items. The roof-top terrace garden was lovely. The location ,close to Palermo Soho sights, was exceptional. Great location. Inspired restoration of a classic old home with a modern,well-designed addition. Friendly, helpful English speaking staff and owner. If we return to Buenos Aires, we will return to Magnolia Hotel Boutique and recommend it to our friends. Everything. There was no aspect that was not superb. Although our stay was brief, it was the highlight of our trip. The the staff and the owner made us feel at home and showed us that they were happy to do everything possible to make us happy. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Ezekial and Francisco. They gave us very good advice about restaurants and tango venues and were helpful at all times . Great connectivity in first floor "living room" and breakfast room/courtyard. No room fridge and the walk to the Subte (subway), while very scenic and no real problem, did take 10-15 minutes. There really wasn't anything that we didn't like. We were very satisfied. We would have liked a TV news channel in English. We could only find Spanish language channels. Palermo was not what I expected. No charm or historic quality whatsoever. Wish we had stayed in Recoleta. Nice restaurants fairly close, Las pizzarras especially. Loved everything - I want to live there!. Nothing- it was exactly what we wanted. Area not really for tourists as residential/local shops. Lots of litter. No literature for tourists to learn about things to do in BA. All learnt from Internet then asking staff.
