  The front dest staff is friendly and helpful. The location is one block off the beach and is in close proximity to a number of local restaurants and MacDonald'S. The street in front of the hotel, McReary, has a bus 53 that goes to Old San Juan or a taxi for $18. The hotel has a sister location one block away, Acacia, that might appeal to the more trendy. - Only a block from the beach, the location is excellent. It is very clean and picturesque. A spoiled rotten pet cat who greeted all guests completed the "home away from home" treatment. The swimming pool is beautiful, and the staff could not be friendlier. The room was very comfortable and clean. I had local friends who visited me tell me that the site is lovely! Most definitely will return...

  The Hotel Plaza De Armas was the perfect location for exploring Old San Juan! The free trolley stops right at the door and the cruise and ferry docks are an easy walk away. There are many restaurants close by and the streets are safe and interesting for wandering. Within walking distance to many of the things to see and a fairly short taxi ride to the airport and cruise port for Celebrity Cruises. Other cruise terminals are even closer. The hotel had no special attractions other than old world charm, good location and GREAT staff.
