Great location in the Lower East Side. Very friendly and service-oriented staff. Comfortable and well appointed room. Great rain shower.
Walls are not soundproofed enough. Room was below the bar above us and we heard thumping music until close. Could also hear the people next to us even though they were just talking normally.
the staff was very service minded, the room service was quick, we got all the help we asked for. Nice, comfortable and clean rooms
can´t think of anything
The room and location were fantastic. The staff were helpful, polite and conversational.
Alot of the menu selections including wine they were out of.
I stayed in the King Terrace Suite, and it was FABULOUS. The room was beautifully decorated, the view from the large terrace was AMAZING, and the room was so cozy and spacious. The staff at the front desk (my check-in attendant was Robert) was very friendly and professional, and made me feel very welcome. I will definitely be coming back to the Thompson!
Great views from the 17th floor floor to ceiling windows, excellent spacious shower. Location is amazing. Katz's deli right around the corner, metro stop across the street, less than 5 min walk from SoHo and China Town. A lot of nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood, feels lively and safe at night.
I like the design of the hotel, I like the pool, the rooms, the beds, the shower, the surroundings as well as the staff, which most of them is very helpful and kind.
The non smiling and non friendly female life guard in the pool area should be offered a charm class.
Staff at the pool was great. Nice rooms and great location in a very nice neighbourhood away from the main touristic crowd.
In-room wifi should be free with these room rates.
There was no full-length mirror in the room.
We loved the pool and the bar/restaurants! Great LES location.
my faforite Hotel in NYC
Excellent location. Friendly staff
Location is good for night life and staff is fantastic. They always pay attentions to clients and are thoughtful. Hotel is modern, well located in ny les and close to Sohoo.
Pool often closed for private events.
Trendy hotel in interesting neighborhood. Liked it a lot. Nice pool.
The staff - overwhelmingly awesome and helpful. Super friendly. Fantastic location. Great vibe and super comfy beds. Higher floors have great views.
There was a problem with our room - it smelled of smoke, which got worse through the night. Luckily staff changed us immediately with no fuss.
The staff was super-friendly, fun and helpful; the look of the hotel and the rooms is cool & modern; love the deep bathtub!; balcony/terrace rooms offered sensational views!
Sheets and pillowcases smelled a little bleach-y, toilet and tissue paper too scratchy—just nitpicky stuff.
Design, location, service Would definitely recommend it.
Quite expensive but that's New York for you. Swimming Pool was not functioning while we were there.
Location, decor, and staff
Glass shower enclosures are difficult with a family or group of unrelated adults
Overall fantastic. Location and the 17th floor view was top notch. Thanks.
Outstanding service from the front desk to roomservice & cleaning staff. Excellent mini-bar & luxury touches throughout the suite & hotel. Miguel at the front desk was especially friendly & helpful addressing my concearns
Not crazy about the bathroom door. closes loudly & kinda awkward.
The staff was amazing, friendly, and very accommodating. The in-house restaurant, Blue Ribbon Sushi, was absolutely and almost surprisingly delicious, and the ambience made the experience all the better. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and stylish, comfortable and spacious. The location in the LES of Manhattan is perfect, you can't ask for more!
Service was very slow at Blue Ribbon Sushi, and the waitress we had hardly ever came back to our table. She was the only one in our entire experience at Thompson LES who acted pretentious toward us. Everything else was perfect!
I especially enjoyed the relaxed lounge atmosphere and the design which gave the place a very warm and relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very professional and helpful.
I simply don't understand why you have to pay for WiFi when it is not exactly a sheep hotel.
Clean rooms, rain shower head, no bath/shower (no one likes a bath/shower), location was amazing for a really interesting side of nyc, hotel (and letsbookhotel.com) were flexible with me chopping off a few days at the end of the stay due to changes in plans.
The rooms were a bit small, 'queen' bed was a bit small (i'm 6'2" and my feet were hanging off the end).
The person who checked me in was courteous and upgraded my room!
That they didn't have a room available for me the next night. And did not offer to help me get a room at one of there other hotels!
The accommodations were excellent (Studio King Suite) and the staff was wonderful! Great city views and a great restaurant in the hotel for breakfast, lunch, & dinner.
Staff - extremely helpful and pleasant any time day or night. Style of the place. Situation. Views. Mattress very compfortable. Excellent sized bed.
Charging for WiFi in room? Why? Come on guys! - Feels like such a rip off it will make me think twice about coming back. Seriously advise you to stop it. Towels a bit small. Pillows a bit soft.
Convenient location. Good staff. Bar on 2d floor.
Too expensive. Small room. Roof bar open on weekends.
Cute view of the street. I loved they style of the room. Great concierge guys, so friendly and helpful. The japanese restaurant and bar were great, with great drinks and food (a little pricey-but that's NYC), and there was a bustling beer garden outside.
They seemed to miss cleaning my floor properly, especially on the first night I arrived and again later in my stay. One morning I had maintenance drilling right outside my door which woke me, I could hear everything, I asked them to stop but they carried on, I had to call reception to ask them to stop. Not cool. Also no free WIFI anywhere in hotel and no coffee/tea making facilities.
Decent sized rooms.Very comfy beds. Great views from floor to ceiling windows. Location was good, great for using the subway. Good bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Despite being on the 10th floor it was extremely noisy from Above Allen. Weekend parties at the hotel appeared more important than the actual hotel guests. A pool party on the Saturday made using the lift a nightmare.
Room was nice and location.
Staff was not friendly. Service was not good.
views and decor staff was friendly
asked front desk maintenance to fix curtains, as they did not close all the way. It was not fixed. No staff readily at front desk late at night.
we have not liked the behavior of the reception.
Tv channels Clean Good bed / bedding
No free wifi in the rooms. Breakfast not included in price. Not easy to operate the lifts - lighting very poor in lifts so not easy to select correct button. Booked through letsbookhotel.com but hotel charged different rate / taxes.
Location
at 4:30 pm room was not ready (check in was at 3:00 pm) which after long trip was not acceptable poor cleaning poor toiletry stuff staff didn't pay any attention on us as a guests
