  marina del rey is perfectly located. my room had a beautiful view on to the harbour. the all staff were lovely and helpful. this hotel is a real gem. ok so it needs a refurb, and there is a bit of noise from the other floors but this is more than made up for with the plus points of which there are many. room service was excellent, the cafe staff w... τι λέει ο κόσμος » ere also really helpful and nice. all the services you would expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel but a fraction of the price. the hotel is about to refur - We wanted a hotel close to the Getty Museums and Santa Monica. We were nervous about the people density of L.A. and, being walkers, had heard poor reports of the lack of pedestrian-friendly paths and even sidewalks. The hotel location was perfect. It was not only literally surrounded by boats but was right by the coast bike path and close to a number of interesting walks around the largest man-made marina in the world.   Loved the old historic building and location. Everyone was very nice.. I was a bit disappointed that internet access for my own device was an extra charge when it was no extra charge at all the other hotels we stayed at along our trip. Seemed weird we could pay less at a Days inn and still have free wi-fi. So weird. And then to hold our car in a p... τι λέει ο κόσμος » arking garage was additional $40 a day. Seemed like maybe the were hurting for business but they weren'T. Lots of people there. - I liked the fact that it is an old hotel, which has a lot of class. I have been there before and with a city the size of LA, I feel comfortable with the location. I requested the highest floor possible and the quietest area and my requests were honored.
