  The Hotel was a great Inn. The staff (Chris) was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and very cozy. Includes a big tv with free video on demand! The bed is super comfy. The breakfast is simple but served in a very cozy room. Don't expect a huge hotel - it's a motel - and a very nice one.   The experience was very good. Freindly and helpful customer service, clean, safe, and a good breakfast. We tried to check in a bit early (1:30) but our room wasn't ready so the staff agreed to securely store our bags and allowed us to use the staff room to change our clothes.   Everything was great. Don't let the exterior fool you. Very welcoming, from the staff to the environment. Beach is literally steps away. It is lively all around. Most people would complain about the noise, but you have to take into account that that's just the Venice/Santa Monica environment. Fun and the sun is at your doorstep. We asked for a beach/ocean view and were upgraded upon - Brilliant, friendly & helpfull staff. It's right on the famous boardwalk next to plenty of restaurants & a small convenience store. It's secure, with a good safety deposit box in the room & I felt safe despite the colour characters going in & out at night. My room was also impeccably clean, as was the whole hotel. - The staff at this hotel were sensational! We got to check-in early, had our bags carried up 3 flights of stairs (because the elevator was on the fritz) and got to check-out late so we could sleep off our jet-lag. Plus they have one of the best lobby spaces I've ever seen and there's rooftop access to watch the sunset over Venice.
