I checked into Grand Hyatt in Dec2013.
I was pleasantly surprised by how big the rooms are; at least, twice as big as any other hotel that I have stayed in for a price around $400. The rooms are extremely good in terms of maintenance and all the facilities that you would expect of Hyatt.

Room was clean and efficient . Good bathroom with daily replenished products .

Huge Lobby where the free wifi was available .
Lobby included coffee shop and snack area .
Nice bar area . We didn't use the restaurent or breakfast facilities preferring to eat out .

The room was a good size for NYC. Hotel was a block from Grand Central Terminal, super for subway and subway shuttle to Times Square! The restautant on site was nice, good food, out door seating. Because it was on 44th, and blocked by the terminal, the street was REALLY quiet. Toiletries and hair dryer and iron all good, no need to pack yours! -

I liked the fact that the room and bathroom were very clean and well kept. For New York City the size and price of the hotel room were also exceptional, especially when looking at some of the other hotels in the area. All of the staff, including the restaurant, were helpful and friendly and eager to serve. Everything is in walking distance.

Everything. We booked a large room and were upgraded to a suite with living room andbalcony. Very nice touch. I would definitely stay there again. This isbeing stated by someone who lives and works in nyc. We had a terrible stay at a NYC hotel previous to this hotel so we walked away from our booking & found this place. It was brand new & their service levels were incredible! The location is great. It is a new hotel still under construction but it is almost done. It is very good to have complimentary drinks and snacks during de day on 27th floor with a couple of computers and printer to acces . You can refill your water bottle with fresh cold water just outside your bedroom door. The bathroom is very well lit which is quite unusual in hotels and room nicely decorated. You can also open the window.

The location is incredible! It is one block round the corned from Grand Central Station and just a very short walk to the Public library and Bryant Park, the Rockefeller Centre and Times Square. From our window we looked right at the Chrysler Building wich is also on a few short blocks away.

This hotel location is very near to most amenities, from shops up to your chemist, with restaurant ever close by, it is difficult not t like thehotel, with the only exception of its not so free internet connection. Which I would expect for the value at which we paid for the room. -

The double suite was spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, very clean with nice decor. Perfect for two parents travelling with two teenagers. Excellent location for anyone who has business at the United Nations or around mid-town. The hotel's historic atmosphere is very appealling. - I liked it all! It was really great. The hotel looks beautiful and the staff is really polite. The rooms look amazing.

The staff, contrary to some of the reviews, were extremely pleasant and helpful and the quality of the finishings of the hotel very pleasing. I had requested a small single room but was given a standard room on the 19th floor which very tastefully furnished.
