Hotel had a more personable feeling about it - some of the larger hotels are so impersonal. Staff were extremely friendly and greeted you upon arrival and departure. Staff were very responsive. The location is extremely good - quiet and within walking distance to many of the tourist sites.

This is an outstanding hotel. The service is superb and the staff courteous and polite. The dining experience is fabulous, and the chicken curry (ask for the white meat to be changed for dark meat) is divine. Room service is rapid, with the slowest delivery being 32 minutes - that would be extremely fast for most 5 star hotels that I have stayed in.

Huge surprise...located off of Union Square in what used to be a very
downtrodden area...a little jewel in the middle of Powell Street.
Fantastic restaurant shares the beautiful lobby. The decor throughout is

Everyone was so friendly and the staff went out of their way to make sure that we would be comfortable. They even suggested that we might want to change our room because they were afraid that being on a lower floor we'd be bothered by the noise of the street! Then they checked on us to make sure we were not bothered by the noise at all. The decor, location were exceptional and even though the renovations weren't complete it didn't detract from our stay. The happy hour at reception was a great idea. We booked the King Deluxe room. From letsbookhotel.com the value was awesome
for San Fran. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and far
uptodate than standard hotel rooms, iphone docking on the clock,
widescreen tv, DirectTV... Yes I said DirectTV. Although the room was

This was my first stay at Abri, but it won't be my last. What a perfect oasis in the busy shopping area and so conveniently located to mass transit. Small hotel with lots of class. Staff were warm and very helpful. Made me feel special.

We had a wonderful stay with our family- the rooms are bit cramp, but we
knew this. We wanted to stay near union square and that we did. We were
able to really enjoy everything in walking distance. We would return
again. We normally stay around the corner but after such a lovely stay
at The Sir Frances Drake, we would definiltey stay there again.

Pizza and wine tasting hour great, met interesting travellers at the hotel. Bed very comfortable.

The room was well kept and I was on the Eddy side but on the 4th floor as long as the window is shut it was quiet. Free wireless and the morning paper were a pleasant suprise. - Nice, quiet, clean and good location

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room, while rather small, was
clean and neat. The bathroom, while very small (I've had larger
bathrooms on cruise ships), was also clean, neat and stocked with
sufficient towels and basic amenities. Fortunately, the bed was very
comfortable. The included breakfast was very good and served in their
small rest

First time in a 'Boutique Hotel' setting, was amazing, very charming, friendly, convenient to everything, trolley directly outside hotel....restaurants, cafes, shopping, all within walking distance, or hop on trolley. Was very quiet, slept wonderfully. Decor quaint & beautiful. Bed comfy, water pressure great. Bkft included was good & filling. Cannot say enough great things about this adorable hotel. We will definately be back!

I absolutely LOVED everything! It was beautiful from the moment I first saw it, before I even walked inside. It was so easy to get to from BART and in a perfect location. location was good but if you go two blocks over it gets a little rough.
wine and snack hour wasn't bad for free but in SF who wants to drink just decent wine?
staff was very nice and value for big city hotel in decent location on a BUSY wknd was excellent.

The rate online was very competitive for a city stay. They provided
complimentary bottled water and cookies in the afternoon. As a guest,
you get a discount at the adjoining cafe, which providing a convenient
breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They held my bags
at the front desk after I checked out, while I got my rental car. The

sure that I got them. The location can't be beat, right in the heart
of the Cit -
Ideally situated for everything. In Union Square in 2 minutes and easy access to all forms of transport. Staff were friendly and helpful and the diner next door excellent. Everything on the doorstep. Being in the city centre meant it was noisy at night but earplugs were provided. We slept very well without resorting to them. Very happy with it all and thoroughly recommend the hotel.
