  My 14 year old daughter and I stayed at the Shore this past June for 7 nights. Each room has a balcony. We were moved to an ocean -front room since we were staying for a week which was very generous. The location is probably the best in Santa Monica. Last year we stayed at the Loews and while it was more elegant, the Shore has a much better locati... τι λέει ο κόσμος » on. The hotel is green, clean, sleek and minimal. It is not for those who are looking for traditional or fancy. The staff is very nice as well. I love - Fantastic location right opposite famous Santa Monica pier and behind Bloomingdales and shopping on 3rd Promenade. Rooms were modern and bathroom has clear glass wall to see into bedroom, which was a novelty for my 7yo daughter. Free internet/wifi was fantastic. Was given glass of champagne at check in which was a nice surprise. My daughter loved the heated pool.

  great location, right next to upmarket shopping mall with grocery store and good restaurants. Room was well appointed, bed was extremely comfortable. The little balcony was nice, through not much of a view. Didn't go to the restaurants / pool, but ordered room service once - prompt service and way more food than I could digest.   How could we not love our spectacular suite! Although our luxury King room on the 19th floor with views over the Hollywood hills was lovely and we would stay in this room type again, we upgraded to the breathtaking 2100 sq foot "panorama suite" on the 20th floor with a 270 degree panoramic view of the entire city and the beautiful Hollywood Hills.... τι λέει ο κόσμος » The staff was absolutely wonderful from check in to check out and all encounters in between. Manager Steven was the crowning jewel amongst the staff - 1. We initially booked the deluxe double room however it was quite cramp and small. The next day we upgraded to a Junior suite which had a king size bed and a sofa bed (queen size probably?) which was very spacious. 2. Located in the heart of Hollywood. Connected to Hollywood/Highland Centre (one of the best spots to view the Hollywood sign) and right next to the Hollywood/Highland Red Line metro station. One metro stop from Universal City and a very short walk to the star walk, TCL theatre etc
