Regarding location, some might find the surrounding industry/depot businesses disturbing, but you cannot beat the stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, you have from all rooms and the rooftop-terrace. The area is quiet at night - also if you walk home to your hotel in the evening. Convenient with the complimentary hotel shuttlebus, but you could also easily walk to the subway station Queensboro Plaza 7 blocks from the hotel (8 min walk). very friendly and courteous staff, rooms very clean. Needed to replace our blowdryer at 10:00 p.m., staff was there within 10 minutes with a new one. My father and I shared a standard queen room overnight while visiting
nyc to see a concert. I was amazed that the concierge desk is open and
available 24-7 - we ended up checking into our room at around 10:45 pm
and the staff was still very happy to greet us. Each staff member
expressed their wonderful personality and kindness in every interaction,
and were 100% accommodating. The decor of common spaces as well as that
of our room was chic yet comfortable; we enjoyed the entire experience.

This hotel location is very near to most amenities, from shops up to your chemist, with restaurant ever close by, it is difficult not t like thehotel, with the only exception of its not so free internet connection. Which I would expect for the value at which we paid for the room. -

The hotel is in a great location. A block away from 51st and lexington
subway station or 10 minutes walk to grand central/42nd st station.
This is also a block away from the 5th Ave. From 5th Ave you can walk
for 10 minutes and you'll get to Central Park. St Patrick's
Cathedral is also across the street from the hotel. We were there to
watch the us Open so it was very convenient to walk to Grand Central

The quietness. Like a retreat. Great food. - Staff were courteous and efficient. Checked in early but no rooms were available, they said they would call me when I could go to the room. They did. The room I got I didn't like (close to elevator door and TV not straight in from of bed). They upgraded me to quieter corner room.
