Room was spotless, bed comfortable, quiet area apart from train noise last thing at night. Short walk from train station and also city centre. The room was immaculate and the staff were very helful and friendly.This guest house was a few minutes walk from York city centre. The owner was polite, the room was clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would use this guest house again.

Breakages
Please take care of the accommodation. Tree Tops considers you responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents, including items missing. Please report these as soon as they occur or you find them. Tree Tops do not normally charge for minor breakages, but Tree Tops will charge your credit card for the cost of repair or replacement if the damage or breakage is significant.

Food/Drink
Tree Tops request that guests do not bring their own food or drink in to the house. Visitors are not permitted without prior arrangement.

Tree Tops does not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, nor any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by Tree Tops or its employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Information about the area

St Mary’s is located in the heart of York. Tree Tops is situated close to the river in a quiet side-street. It is a 5-minute walk from all tourist attractions, including York Minster, shops, restaurants and bars.

Room information details

Rooms are ready for 12:00 (noon). Rooms with views of York Minster or the city are available.

Travelling information

By Train:
Turn left out of the station and then left into Leeman Road. Cross the road before the overhead bridge and walk down the alley next to the general post office. Turn left at the river and cross over the footbridge. Directly in front of you is St Mary’s car park. Walk along the path to the side of it and at the end is St Mary’s – Tree Tops is at number 21, the 4th house on the right.

By Car:
Whether you are arriving from the North or South, the easiest route is via the Ring Road (A1237).
- Follow the signs to York (North)/Thirsk and turn towards York on the A19.
- Proceed until the 1st set of traffic lights (Clifton Green).
- Drive straight on and you will pass under a pedestrian footbridge.
- St Mary’s is the 3rd turning on the right after the footbridge.
- Tree Tops is on the left-hand side, approximately 230 metres (250 yards) from the main road.
