  The room that we had was of such a good standard. We originally intended to book the Superior Room but as they only have the one, it was't surprising that was already booked up.So we went with the normal double and it ended up being absolutely fine and very comfortable. The room and the hotel were very clean. I'm a stickler for clean carpet and mo... τι λέει ο κόσμος » st of the time, discover that the carpets in hotel bedrooms are really nasty. But this one wasn't, so much so that I quite happily walked around bare- - A nice hotel, if you are traveling through. It was clean (except for the teacups, they were very dirty.) The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfy.The hotel is in a beautiful location. The breakfast is nice, only if you do not like a cooked breakfast, there is not much choise. There are some serial, but no bread, nor cheese/ham enz. Only jam for your toast. If they would change that, it would be perfect. We went to Beaulieu in the New Forest (very nice!), when we stayed here. Allso Portsmo

  The bed was comfortable and the room was clean The food in the adjoining property, The Red Lion was excellent and the staff were efficient and very friendly.. The breakfast was cooked specifically for you and you could eat as much as you liked. The quality of the food was excellent. - Staff were first rate! Does what it says on the tin. Ideal location for visiting Portsmouth and surrounding area.
