This village pub, The Coach & Horses, dates back to 1762. Located in the village of Sutton Scotney, it has easy access to the M3 and the South.
The letting rooms are created from the old thatched fire station and named after famous makes of fire engines: Dennis, Bedford and Commer.
The rooms reflect the pub's traditional character, and a continental breakfast is included in the rate.

The room was clean, tidy and large. The food served in the C & H was excellent. Plenty of choice, well presented and good sized portions. Very good quality.
Shower in en suite was very efficient.
Staff were helpful, friendly and professional.
the people were welcoming. Had a lovely meal at the pub. Large room.Continental breakfast was good. We were given a fresh pint of milk everyday for the cereals. Altogether good value for money.όλα τα σχόλια »
Could not fault staff. They were very helpful and made us feel as though we were one of the locals.Dinner and breakfast amazing.Room large and comfortable.Wonderful village atmosphere.
A relaxed popular pub with many events planned. The accomodation being a seperate outbuilding is ideal for moving from the busy bar to a quiet bed.
The evening meal was excellent, as was the service. The weather was dreadful, but we heard nothing, so the insulation was very good!.
It was a beautiful place to stay. Warm friendly staff, fantastic food. Real charm and character to the large en-suite rooms.
The rooms were well appointed and the food provided excellent. Would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
Set in a beautiful little village, lovely large room and the pub had a lovely open fire to sit by later in the evening.
Great room which was very large and cleaned well, staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
It was a convenient stopover after an 8 hour ferry journey from France before driving home to the North of England.
Loved Everything, especially Loved the large bedroom, and breakfast in your room when you chose to get up.
superb in every way would recommend to all friends 1st class wholesome meals thank you to my hosts.
We were very pleased with our stay very friendly Staff loved the Log Fire in the Pub,
Great Food,.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Very nice people. Pub is traditional and very nice.
The staff was great, the bar at the inn was cosy, and they had good food. We had a great stay!.
the accomdation was good with continental breakfast, and the pub for food was good.
Helpful staff
Able to have a meal in the pub
Quiet
Room and bathroom spacious.
Very friendly and helpful management.
Good pub food at reasonable prices.
Location was ideal for us. The bar drinks very good and food excellent.
Large room, friendly host, helpful attitude.
Good ale and food.
Excellent food, comfortable room and attentive staff.
Nice large room and bathroom. Ease of parking.
great location, friendly staff and locals!.
Location, location, location!.
very clean facities.
The location, just North of Winchester suited us well. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. A lovely couple. There was a small continental breakfast in the rooms but the owners made us a cooked breakfast when the pub opened at no extra charge.
We liked having the accommodation on the ground floor and it was spacious with its own access from the car park.
Large rooms, small refrigerator, separate from pub and reasonably quiet. Good dinner menu at reasonable prices.
not having to look for somwhere to have a meal in the evening, food excellent and good value.
Unique location...Thatched Fire station.
Nice large clean room.
The bed was comfy, the setting of the place is really pretty, bar was nice and cosy and the bar girls we're really nice and friendly.
the room was large and would be ideal for a family. The bedding and towels were clean and breakfast was ready in the room.
Room was large.
Kettle in room was unuseable due to being disgusting inside. The continetal breakfast was not eaten as it looked unappitising. However, As we were leaving very early in the morning and taking breakfast further down the road none of this would put us off staying at this venue again.
Decor and sofa bed rather tired.
The bed was a bit lumpy, and the kettle was a very bad pourer, so water went everywhere.
There wasn't anything to not like.
the bathroom needed attention.
It would have been useful to have some sort of table in the bathroom for toiletries.
The outside seating area.
nothing to dislike.
Poor breakfast. A "continental breakfast" consisted of a bowl of cereal and a sad looking croissant.
hard beds.
Room could have had better lighting.
Although the rooms were large they need an update. Bathrooms were a little worse for wear and the beds were very uncomfortable. If this was done, along with the right decor they could be beautiful and guests would be willing to pay more !.
It wasn't made clear in the booking that breakfast was continental and would have to be taken in the room, that was a disappointing feature.
Lumpy beds. No cooked breakfast until after 10 am. Continental breakfast adequate but no choice of gluten free.
Continental Breakfast was a bit DIY...in fridge.
Breakfast not available although milk, cereal fruit juice and croissants provided in fridge, which I would not mind but was not clear when I booked. Evening meal was OK but not great - didnt complain at the time as it was passable and I was tired and hungry, but it could have been hotter. Good value though.
Room was chilly hardly got warm. Plenty of bedding to keep you warm in bed.
No cooked breakfast, for £65 it should be included
Bathroom was battered and bits of the bath chipped off, our family stayed in the other 2 rooms and the the smell of mould and damp in their room was overbearing, Our room was fine thankfully. My meal in the bar was lovely but my fiance's steak was awful, I did taste it and had to agree.
the room smelled strongly of damp. we probably chose a bad night as Friday was karaoke and disco and the room was adjacent to the car park, so it was 12.30 before i got to sleep (however the owner did warn us).
Room had a very musty smell to it. Continental breakfast consisted of croissants that were stale and soggy.
