The location was perfect, nice 15 minute stroll to St. Ives Harbour either along the Coastal path or the main road. The room (superior) was ideal, very clean and with large shower,garden/sea view. Friendly helpful staff. I left my bag and purse in the tv room and it was handed back to me, phew.

I was a numpty and forgot to pack my phone charger, asked at reception and though they don't have spare chargers Janet went to her own house and gave me the loan of her own charger. Top service. nice staff lovely old place, very good breakfast. there was plenty of tea and coffee and I had some food with me so I did manage without an evening meal but and I will put this in the other section. I will stay again but would have preferred the option of an evening meal. Thankyou. lovely hotel set in woodland grounds. Jenny receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. rooms were decorated to a high standard. cannot comment on facilities or restaurant as we never used either. great location for St.Ives with a lovely coastal 15 minutes walk away. the friendly welcome and peaceful environment. the views from the rooms were stunning and only a short walk into town. easily found and plenty of parking. even the sun shone for us; what more can you ask for? Brilliant, wonderful and would definitely recommend to others. The hotel was great, staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location only a short 10 minute walk down either a coastal path or main road to St Ives. The coastal path brings you out at Porthminster beach which looks like it should be in the Med. We stayed there as my boyfriends sister was getting married nearby. Arriving late we were warmly greeted and upgraded; our room was gorgeous and very big. St Ives is absolutely stunning; all together it was a wonderful stay. Lovey location overlooking the bay. Walk into St Ives not too long. The staff were friendly and the breakfast very good, a self-serve cold breakfast buffet and cooked breakfast on order. The room was modern and very clean. The hotel has bags of character, the grounds were lovely and the staff were super friendly. The room had a great view of the grounds and down to St Ives. The breakfast was a bargain, delicious and well worth the money. The location is really nice with stunning views of the Carbis Bay. The rooms are very well appointed and clean and comfortable. The gardens are exceptionally beautiful and the building itself very good looking. Single room £25 breakfast £8.50 overlooking the sea while eating. Fog was not their fault. If you where staying longer I would say that having no TV in the rooms would be an issue but didn't impact on us for one night. I arrived after the cut off for evening meal ordering. I think the cut off is 4.30pm and I arrived around 4.45pm. although free Wi-Fi Was available all thorugh the hotel we were unable to locate Wi-Fi from our room. The family room was a little small with not much room to move and no shower, which after a day at the beach was really needed. It was a shame that breakfast is not included. As other have noted there was no tv in the room (a minus for us as we love lazy late nights watching telly in hotelrooms). Full price for the room seems too high, I would have been disappointed had I paid it. We nearly missed the entrance to the hotel, it's not very well signposted. You also need to be careful on the drive as it's a bit pot-holed. These are very minor issues though and did not spoil our enjoyment of the hotel. No room service and no intercom so even for simple enquiries one has to walk all the way to the Reception. There is no Lift and the climb to second floor rooms, where we were, was a bit of an uphill task. I did not see a proper Bar anywhere- a pity because one misses out on a leisurely drink looking out to the beautifully landscaped gardens and the stunning views beyond. At first we were disappointed that there wasn't a tv in the room. However, we found that this was a blessing as we mixed more with the people in the hotel in an evening, which made our stay so much more enriched. My only concern was that the towel rack was very hot - might be harmful for little hand in the family room that we stayed in. Also I almost fell getting out of the tub as the floor was lower than I am used to. I hadn't realised that breakfast was not included. But this dodn't actually matter as we just walked into St. Ives and had some there. This beautiful manor is run. by the Christian guild. We would stay here again but people should be aware of this when making a booking so they don't get a surprise like we did. The internet drops in and out in the guest rooms. No tv or wi-fi would have been an issue if we'd have been staying longer. Poor water pressure in shower. Only there One night so nothing to dislike, would of liked to have stayed longer!. The hotel is definitely needed a clear sign of direction to the hotel on the road. I spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out which small street I had to turn to. the hotel did not had lift for luggage and should be up by hand. Nothing. Everything was spot on. There was nothing I didn't like. Due to the fact the the hotel is run by The Christian Guild, and us not being 100% practising Christians we felt awkward as though we were imposing especially when we returned from having an early dinner out to walk into the middle of a very passionate lay preacher in full tilt with a large enthusiastic audiance Ahhh !. No TV in the bedroom, but this was a very minor thing though. Nothing to dislike!!!!. Not really convenient with a pushchair(no lift). Thank goodness we were upgraded to an w suite. Other guests were exclusive I felt in the way! I knew I didn't have a bathroom to myself before I went, but I would think twice another time. Whilst staying one night in a standard double room we noticed the noise difference from the adjoining rooms. We will now only stay in the superior room. Having to leave to go home. Only a bath, no shower...hard with a sandy 16 month old. a little old fashioned, small room but was inexpensive. The entrance of the hotel can be missed very easily. On the way down to the hotel, the road is not very good and you can easily damage your car if it is too low. And on our room we could hear the couple on the room next door laughing and speaking. It is run by the christian guild and there are religious items i.e crosses and window stains. I personally don't mind this but I can imagine there are a few people who would dislike and even find it offensive. Considering this is the worst thing I could think of it shows that it is a great short break hotel. Also no biscuits in the room to go with the tea. Nothing. The set menu dinner was very disappointing. Described as "steak aux poivre" the main course was braised steak, with a cream and mushroom sauce. It was served with sweet potato, as the only potato option.
