Staff are very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast selection is excellent, with all sorts of cooked food to make yourself a full English (eggs, bacon, sausages, hash brown, mushroom, etc.) along with standard breakfast fare such as cereals, croissants, bread, ham/cheese, fruits and the likes. I think I got a very good deal for £35 per night including breakfast. Location is great, just behind the Grand Jersey hotel, 5 minutes' walk to the beach and 10 minutes' walk to the bus station. I would definately stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel. Its location with regard to the town, sea front and bus station. The most welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The creaking floor boards of this and the room above definitely need attention. 'Lady' motor car drivers who drove too fast in urban areas and did not consider OAP pedestrians. The toiletries that are boasted about in the description on letsbookhotel.com were in fact two pieces of soap. We didn't bring our own toiletries, so that was annoying. no entertainment beer flat. Bathroom could do with a little refreshment. the evening meal was just ok. Please change the mattress in 304. Very hard matress to sleep on !!!. Noisy floorboards and thin walls. Food only mediocre. Cold tea which was presented having been left out on the shelf for about 10 minutes before I got it. Also made a staff member aware of a person who put the tongs into the hot plate and she just laughed instead of removing it. very noisey when in room , something wrong with the flooring in rooms, check it out and discount my payment, too much noise for price paid, sleepless nights very uncomfortable. bit dated in decor. Dated decor,needs TLC and updating. 60's/70's decor but then this hotel is cheap and cheerful and a makeover would probably push prices up but would be best in long run. Worst thing is the broken down bed; the bed in my room was very worn out and uncomfortable. Furnishings are basic and bathrooms very shabby. The window in our room was broken and would not close. the hotel was very dated and needed a complete make over. when i got to the hotel there was no shampoo and the shower didnt work i did ask for shampoo but was told its not normal for shampoo to be in the room so had to buy a bottle of shampoo but had to leave it there as i was flying out and could not take it with me as its more than 150mils.
