We had an excellent overnight stay at this accommodation. Everything was absolutely first class, with the bedrooms exceedingly well equipped and comfortable and a very extensive and tasty breakfast. Karen and Paul were very welcoming hosts and I would happily stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it as one of the best B&Bs I've ever come across .

Friendly welcome and hospitality and easy going and professional service.
The Courtyard is in a quiet rural setting, but is close to things to do and places to visit.
The room and bathroom was large and airy, it was very clean and attractive with a good comfortable bed and linen and a well equipped. Car parking is close to the rooms.

We enjoyed a warm welcome and we were given a choiced of the available rooms which were all of very high standard in both appointments, comfort and size.A choice of breakfast was available, the full English was freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients and was excellent.The house and courtyard are in a very quiet and peaceful location yet close to all facilities. We very much enjoyed our stay. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. At short notice, they helped us to find a local flower shop to get a bouquet of flowers for a 100 birthday. Impeccably clean, tasteful, unfussy and well run, with every consideration given to providing for the comfort of guests; we saw that business people, families, a young couple, as well as us oldies were equally happy. I liked the fact that it was clean. I've stayed at several hotels in Felixstowe, and the Castle Lodge is the first one that I would consider returning to. Actually, I'd go further than that. I would look forward to staying there, and next time I'd stay more than just one night. I only wish I'd discovered it years ago!

Our room was lovely. We booked a 'deluxe double room with a view' on offer for £71. It had a very comfy, big bed, bath with decent overhead shower, bathroom was clean (as was whole room). The room had windows along one wall, which gave a beautiful view over the little harbour with boats and lots of pretty sky. Lovely rooms, great ambience, friendly hosts. I felt very comfortable being on my own on business travel. The rooms have been lovingly individually handcrafted with oak and have great design features. Great restuarant, food prices very reasonable for quality of food, has indoor and outdoor areas and comfy couhes by a fireplace. Would recommend, and Beccles is a lovely village on the broads.
