Hambleden village is absolutely beautiful and is just 4 miles from Henley, so is convenient for either the quiet countryside or the more lively atmosphere of town. We received a warm welcome from Dan and the rest of the staff that we encountered on our one night stay. We booked a classic room and was allocated 'The Pit' which was a very pretty, clean and well presented room. Good pub food in the evening and an excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Highly recommended for some country style R&R!!

Excellent dinner and lunch. The food was piping hot, which was much appreciated and the lunch menu was adjusted to meet our personal choices and was all we could wish for. We met some Canadian cousins for the first time and it was a wonderful spot to meet up for lunch on the side of the Thames with them. As I was visiting an elderly relative at the hospital across the road,
for my needs it was the perfect location and was close enough to the

We have stayed at Fairlawns many times and have never been disappointed. We arrived a bit early after a long transatlantic flight and Matt was very accommodating about finding a room that met our needs even though it was not the room they had planned for us. The breakfast was fabulous as usual.

They were very helpful. After I was there for three hours I discovered the toilet did not work. They moved me to another room immediately. Two days later the ceiling caved in during the night because of the water from the air conditioner. Immediately they moved me to another room. - the clealiness was fantastic. infact it worth more than the money

We have learned that in England if you have a car you need to check tosee if there is parking at the Hotel. We have recently stayed in Bathand had to pay 8 pounds per day to park the car at the back of the b andB. So, the fact that the hotel has parking and is not far from the busstop made it convenient for getting into the city of Oxford. - Our ro

The room was a large converted barn and well planned. It had a walk in shower and a freestanding bath and was designed beautifully. The bed was massive and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious outside in the courtyard and the staff were really friendly. It's in the perfect spot for the Henely regatta and the train station. Everything is

We love staying here, it has a central location within Henley near to the Thames. The rooms are luxurious with fantastic showers and the attention detail is spot on. The staff are friendly and professional and nothing is much for them. I would highly recommend staying here!

I have stayed there many times, starting in the mid 1970'S. It
became a luxury hotel after that, and this is the first time I stayed in
the more modern era. In general, I liked everything, but especially the
staff. I feel they gave outstanding service. I arrived without a wallet
and no money to pay the cab. The hotel staff graciously paid the cab

The hotel was charming and inviting. The location was perfect for us. I was traveling with my daughter visiting another child that is taking a gap year and is in the Oxford Tutorial College. she was able to get to us and we got around the town wonderfully. The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.
