Breakfast was good value - just over £8 for unlimited buffet (inc. cooked breakfast) and unlimited Costa coffee.
My bedroom was spacious and the bed was really comfortable.
Location good - 5-7 mins walk to Princes Street and 10-15 mins walk to Royal Mile/castle.
Haymarket train station 2 mins walk away - for trains to Glasgow (and to Waverley if

Fabulous hotel. Staff were great, everybody was friendly and polite and went out of their way. Location is super, 2 minutes walk from haymarket station and 15 walk into Edinburgh city centre. Buses stopped outside the hotel to go to Princes street if you didn't fancy the walk. Food was good, we had breakfast and was lovely with lots to choose from. Didn't eat there otherwise but saw the food and it looked very nice. Rooms and beds clean and comfy. Great hotel.

Quick registration and departure at reception.Excellent double room with twin double beds which suited my sister and I. Very tasty and substantial evening meal and full range of breakfast food in restaurant. Comfortable bar area. The hotel room was very spacious and quiet.The hotel location was in a nice area and easy to get into Edinburgh by bus we were able to park our car in the grounds and leave it there during our stay.Good food ,friendly staff and a nice hotel with character. We were extremely surprised by the quality of the hotel considering we paid 119 for a double room. Staff were of 5* quality, attached bar is fantastic with good beer, good food and live sport on big screens. Bedrooms are great. Would not hesitate to return. Plentiful parking for free at weekend and a 15min walk to centre. -

This was our first trip to Edinburgh.
We were hoping to book a hotel closer to the city centre, but as ours was a last minute booking, we were limited for choice.

The price was nice and the sleep was good: these are main criteria for a good stay. The hotel itself is ugly, massive, chain-like, but people are okay, walking distance to town attractive, there is a park and a river road, so, I recommend this place!

First of all, the location was extraordinary. The sea (Firth of Forth) is just behind the hotel and you wake up, seeing big steamships and small fisher boats on the water.

Very suprised and impressed with this hotel, well presented and staff were polite and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet at the back of the building. Booked into restaurant for evening meal, everybodys food was excellent and again very friendly staff. Booked purely for location for Edinburgh marathon. -

We travelled by train as it was much cheaper than staying in the centre of Edinburgh. With trains every 30 minutes until late at night the 10 minutes on the train was well worth it with the Hotel just accross the main road from Newcraighall station. Having stayed at several Premier Inns it was veyr much as we have come to expect with a good size r

Great location - easy to access from the city bypass. Good price. Easy
to travel to city center by train or bus. The first impression was good
because it has a quaint relaxing look about it on the outside, that
shouted "You're on holiday in Scotland". Parking was easy.
The staff was fantastic, helping cheerfully with whatever I asked about.
