If you are searching for an excellent B&B for your trip to Bangor, stay at the Shelleven Guest House. The owners, Philip and Mary, are classy four star people. For any questions we had about the area, they knew or found the answers. We were treated very specially, but were given our space in the guest house.

My friend and I spent 4 nights at Shelleven Guest House. We found it to be comfortable and well-appointed, with a delicious breakfast menu. The owners, Mary and Phillip, couldn't have been more accommodating ... they even drove us to the train station when we left. The location is excellent, and we enjoyed the walk along the seaside promenade to restaurants for dinner so lovely ... a highlight of our stay in Ireland.

Its clean, the owner is amazingly hospitable and friendly. They make sure we have what we need for the overnight stay. The room is very comfy and feels like you are sleeping in your own bed. Thanks John for the wonderful 5 start service. -

Very friendly welcome. Superb staff. Colman very helpful . Food very tasty and Sean produced fresh Armagh strawberries for breakfast. Just fantastic.

The hotel is an old coaching inn with a lot of character. We were made to feel very welcome. The room that we had was very large and comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent.We can recommend the fruit pancakes.The hotel is a 30 minute drive from Belfast and there is easy access to the surrounding countryside. Situated in the pretty village of Moira, the guest house offers the best of both worlds- quick and easy access to Belfast on one side and Northern Ireland's stunning countryside on the other. Astala Guest House is clearly recently renovated. Everything is new. And everything is spotlessly clean. The view of the waterfront was quite nice (I saw a wonderful sunrise). Breakfast was quite good. The WiFi worked well. The staff was friendly and accommodated our late arrival without fuss (naturally we had the presence of mind to call and inform them we were arriving late). Parked right in front.

What a gem! Everything was supplied to make my visit enjoyable. After an exhausting drive Joanne was so friendly and suggested a meal from the restaurant which was delivered to my suite. Delicious. After a day trip to Giant's Causeway it was so great to relax with a glass of wine in my warm and cozy lounge. Will definitely return.

We enjoyed our weeks stay at Down Royal House. It was very clean. The owners were very helpful with things to do and how to get around the city. Fresh cooked breakfast every morning was delicious!! Would highly recommend this place. It's not in the city but close enough to go in and out and enjoy the quiet of the countryside. -

The staff were so friendly & really made us feel at home. Marade in particular was amazing - looked after us in every way, understood we were at a wedding, booked us taxis, made us breakfast late - couldn't fault the service!
