All staff were very friendly, yet efficient and professional. The room was better than I expected for the price. We were given a free room upgrade on arrival. ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » election of bars and restaurants. - I liked the hotel room with balcony looking over Ambleside. Also we took full advantage of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym. The breakfast was excellent and the waiter service first class. We found all staff very helpful and there to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be visiting again very soon.

The staff were very friendly and attentive.The grounds are superb and if you want simply to relax and do nothing the public rooms are delightful places to spend time. - The staff and service were exceptional. We had booked an overnight stay on the way back from Scotland. Our choice was an executive room - DB&B at a very good rate. The hotel was in a lovely setting in the select village of Wetheral, close to the city of Carlisle. Lovely walks by the river Eden, just minutes away and lots of history in the nearby St. Constantine's cell and the English Heritage abbey gatehouse. The room, although small, was immaculately decorated and very clean with lovely white crisp linen and soft fluffy towels. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Very friendly staff that made us feel very welcome. Food in the restuarant was very nice, with a relaxed atmosphere. - I came to relax, and in our second choice room that was possible being able to see and hear the river, plus watch the wildlife
