We stayed in the new Silver Suite - it was extremely comfortable with a most beautiful view across the water.
Needless to say, but the food was magnificently presented and absolutely delicious.
The staff were exceptionally courteous and delightfully friendly. You felt you were staying with friends.

Comfortable room with magnificent view of the lake. We had originally
booked for two nights but had to leave after just one night due to
family reasons - hotel staff were very kind in this regard. Excellent

A return visit for 3 nights, after a 16 year gap! The hotel has changed hands since then and is almost unrecognisable from the previous visit. I stayed here by myself for 2 nights. I had a standard single room, which was just what I need with plenty of space too. The beds were comfy, tea and coffee making facilities and some delicious homemade shortbread provided too. I felt very welcome from the minute I stepped through the door, especially as it was the first time I'd stayed away on my own. Nothing was an issue, and with the perfect weather it was pleasant to sit outside in the garden and enjoy a view of Lake Windermere. Service was

Very welcoming and child friendly. The kitchen had everything you could need and bedrooms were comfortable. Very useful to have parking just outside. - The apartment was very spacious and modern decoration inside. Very clean and tidy inside and very close to the town of Windermere

Everything! The staff were wonderful and the food excellent. - Felt more like a 4* plus hotel, not a 3. Nice details like great towels and fresh milk available for in-room coffee. Quality decor in room, nice bathroom too. Very convenient to town without being in it.

Gill and John were so warm and welcoming, we felt as if we were visiting a friends home. The full English breakfast they cooked for us each morning was fantastic! Everything from the cosy very well decorated room, warm hostess who was extremely helpful in finding activities and transport info. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a minute away from the lake. Breakfast was very nice and the access to the SPA at the Old McDonald is the cherry on top. We really felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel.

Views, location, convenience, peaceful, friendly staff, flexible and accommodating business. Small business not part of a large chain, local knowledge and knowledge of area history. The location was great - right in the middle of town with parking. The breakfast was good too. The staff were just the right side of friendly and very helpful too. I booked a single room which was a good size - although the pillows were hard! - with a comfy bed and a clean, well kept bathroom. All in all, would highly recommend. Could see that

Modern but tastefully decorated with good quality bed linen.
Our room had a lake view and a nice big window.
Breakfast room was spacious and breakfast was cooked in an open kitchen which gave a great athmosphere.
Lovely little balcony to sit in the sun if you are lucky enough to get any!

Wow, we travel alot but have rarley found such a friendly, quality Inn (hotel.) The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. the bathroom was well appointed with an amazing shower. the highlight though was the food and drink, an incredible atmosphere in the bar with real ales and whiskies galore. The food in the Bistro and restaurant is fantastic! we WILL be back!

The food was just wonderful; the room was beautifully appointed; the location was delightful with lovely views; the service was outstanding. All in all we had a delightful three days half board - we would have been fed up not to have booked in for dinner! The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff really made the stay for us.

the hotel and the service was excellent considering our large group arrived at the hotel at ungodly hours 4a.m. The hotel was so good that most opf us are at some time in future hoping to pay a return visit and will be in our best hotel guide book. The excellent food, and the friendly staff - Staff very friendly. Arts and crafts furniture outstanding. The lunch was of a very high standard. Views superb. A place to relax and unwind.
