We liked absolutely everything of this inn. The owners and staff could not have been friendlier. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with personal touches. That they have started to renovate this great building with care since buying it last month. The owner Lynne is amazing host, so caring and friendly. The breakfast was superb. Warm and cosy rooms. Beautiful original features that will be respected during the upgrade. Strong wifi for when travelling for business.

From the moment we arrived we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. This is a lovely, friendly, traditional hotel, with lots of period features and our room was very clean and a decent size.
We had dinner in the hotel and breakfast and the food was lovely.
Would like to say a special thank you to Emma (Duty Manager) and all the staff that were working the weekend of the 29th November for making our stay as good as it was.

The room was lovely and the service was excellent. Since we were exploring the area around Selkirk and had only one day, we did not have time to hunt for restaurants. It was wonderful to have an excellent restaurant to come back to in our own hotel. - Excellent service, staff very attentive, food was superb and standard room was excellent.

We were only there for one night and did not eat in the evening as we were in the castle at a wedding. Room was fine and the bed was really cosy! The breakfast was good and well presented. The service was excellent - nice surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Would definately stay again and would recommend. -

Ednam House was one of five places that my family stayed in Northumberland in May. It was my favorite of all. Stuart and Sarah made me feel so welcome from the start. They could not have been more helpful, especially with sorting out a menu for my guests, some of whom had food allergies.
