The mother/daughter team that run this Inn are absolutely amazing. Incredibly willing to help and give any advice needed. All sorts of suggestions for food and where everything was. The room as also amazing. Had a little couch as well as a very comfortable bed. Everything not only still looks new but also like it was out of a magazine- very well designed and thought out. We unfortunately only stayed one night and had to leave before their breakfast. We figured that we would just eat the cereal. όλα τα σχόλια »
We were checked in by Sian who was very friendly and helpful. She gave us a map of local restaurants and pubs. We were very grateful for the fan in our room which was very thoughtful as the weather was so hot. The bed was very comfortable as was the sofa in the room. There was a plentiful supply of products in the bathroom, including body lotion. The hospitality tray was generous and replenished daily, as was the bottled water. Although our room overlooked a main road it was quiet during the n.
As soon as we arrived the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I was travelling with my elderly parents (my mother can't climb stairs, so we were given a ground floor room straight away) We were only staying for one night, as we were getting the 8am ferry the next morning. (It's ideal for the ferry as it's only a five minute drive to the ferry terminal) So because we were too early for the breakfast, she made us sandwiches for a snack when we had settled in at no extra cost and left bread.
I selected this hotel based on other reviews. I have to say that it lived up to my expectations. I had a good size room which was spotlessly clean and was met on checking in, with a very friendly welcome. Breakfast, which was included in my room rate was comprehensive with fresh produce and the service was great. Overall, I think the hotel is worth consideration if visiting Poole for a short visit as I did. I would certainly recommend it to my friends and business colleagues.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant recommendations were very good and easy walking distance. As we were leaving before breakfast on our last day, the toaster, bread and teapot were left out for us in the dining room, which was very much appreciated. Lovely clean, comfortable room and very quiet considering the main road outside.Suited our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice welcome, very friendly helpful staff. Issued with a local map of the area and recommended restaurants. Gate of India was excellent (10% reduction for blueshutters guests) and only a few minutes walk away, plenty of watering holes nearby too! Parking on the forecourt is on 1st come 1st served basis but I had no difficulties.
Breakfast (maxi) was excellent! I would stay again if working in the area.
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. On arrival we were offered tea and bisquits and were able to sit out in the beautiful gardens. We made some very special requests which they organised and nothing was too much trouble for them. The tea making facilities in the rooms were good and the breakfasts were excellent. Service was friendly and unrushed. Friendly atmosphere.
The innkeeper was friendly, extremely helpful. She found accommodations for me for an unexpected return stop_over.
The room and bath were updated and modern and spotless. Very quiet area close to the city with many lovely eateries in walking distance.
Would always stay there if a room available. The room fan was a nice touch, as not expected in the UK.
Great place to stay in Poole , friendly welcome and greeted with a cuppa :) very quiet ( I had a room at the back) clean room comfy bed , controlable central heating , good shower with plenty of hot water , drink making facilities free wi fi and fantastic breakfast . ( very close to various pubs and Mr Kyps venue).
We loved everything about this Guest house, I had the best nights sleep ever here, the bed was so comfortable, the breakfast was great, the staff excellent, I can not fault this place and would definite stay again if we were in the area, we went to see Bad Manners at Mr Kyps, this is a short 5 minute walk.
room clean well equipt with lovely little touches of a box of bits like cotton wool buds make up pads . the breakfast room was lovely set out well and a nice english breakfast .when i arrived they made me a cup of tea ,after a long journey a chat, friendly face and cuppa was welcoming .
The staff we're both friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The room was spotlessly clean and had tea and coffee making facilities. The room also had something you don't see very often at any hotels I have ever stayed at, complimentary bottled water, which was a nice touch.
it was very friendly and personalised from the telephone call and text before I arrived to the fruit and muffin left in my room because I missed breakfast to the baco sandwich prepared so I could take it into work. It was also very clean.
Very convenient for ferry. Lovely clean decor and furnishings. Friendly welcome. The breakfast was very good, cooked to order.
Will be returning when we are in the area and would recommend without hesitation.
Saundersfoot 7 June 2013.
Really pleasant friendly atmosphere , staff very keen and polite. Clean and welcoming and want to return but bed was a problem.
I would return and recommend to friends and want to wish the girls every success but change the beds ASAP.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming. As we had a very early start we missed out on the cooked breakfast and had to have cereal for breakfast, there was a good selection to choose from unlike some places that we have stayed at.
Warm caring welcome and appreciated the meeting of my dietary needs, thank you.
The breakfast was piping hot the next morning cooked by a very accommodating chef.
All in all a comfortable one night business stay and would return.
Friendly staff. Pleasant room, really clean, with fresh bedlinen, good selection of toiletries, tea tray & biscuits etc. Lovely breakfast room and great breakfast. Books & magazines available. Enjoyable stay.

Everything you would want of a B&B - clean & comfortable with all the services & facilities you need like free WIFI. Staff were lovely. And it's a 5 minute walk to lots of lovely places to eat and drink.
We thought your breakfasts were fantastic! They were beautifully served by friendly staff and the attention to our needs were fulfilled. There was more than ample food and breakfast held me over for the entire day!.

All communication with staff was helpful, staff in the hotel were efficient, thoughtfull, polite. Room was clean, tidy, in good order, well stocked refreshment tray. Over all brilliant.
Every one was friendly and helpful throughout our stay at the hotel and nothing seemed too much trouble. The breakfast was superb each day and the omelette surpassed everything else.
We got a warm welcome, good accommodation, as described, recommendations as to where we might have dinner and an excellent breakfast the following morning - at a very good price.

Fantastic very friendly great breakfast as well very clean nothing but praise, a very happy customer.
the owners were very helpful and friendly very good value for money and would recommend blueshutters.
I honestly can't say anything!!.
There is little parking on the premises and some people were double parked. However we parked on the street just opposite which is free and unrestricted so there is no real problem.
Although there was a contact telephone number for evenings and night time, it felt rather strange that there was no one from the guest house on site. Slight concern that had there been an emergency (fire etc) there would not be anyone there to take charge.
can't think of anything I didn't like !.
Getting up for breakfast early (with self inflicted hang overs) and then checking out by 10.30, I guess that this time is standard across most Guest houses, we stayed at a hotel the following night and didn't have to be out the room until 12 midday.
nothing.
I can't think of anything negative to say, my stay was pleasant.
As a former travel agent I know what to look for and there was absolutely nothing to find fault with!.
Room 4 Bed is unacceptable.
The bed was a bit firm for my liking.
Nothing at all!.
I think the one comment for improvement would be the light-colored curtains. When on holiday, I need to sleep in more than usual, so having the light wake me up was my only complaint. They were very pretty but an easy fix would be some dark panels with black out fabric behind to ensure a dark room.
A double room with two bedside cabinets should have a bedside lamp on each.
Otherwise they are excellent and deserve their high ratings.
The shower cubicle was small, but, that is the only dislike i had.
Same old story. Really bad wifi conection.
nothing ,, everything was how it should be ,,.
The only down point of our stay was the bed in our room which had a metal head board which groaned and squeaked everytime either of us moved a muscle, meaning that sleep was almost impossible.
All good.
N/A.
Nothing, we,ll stay again if in poole.
Nothing of note, a few finishing touches to the room and maybe thicker curtains wouldn't go a miss , but would have no hesitation in returning.
Nothing negative.
nothing.
The en-suite was very small but all toiletries were provided.
Parking a little hard to get but not a major poblem.
Nothing.
The beds.
Nothing.
Car parking system needs arranging better to avoid people being blocked in - especially as no staff on site for most of the day. Car registration numbers could be logged against room numbers in reception area for all residents to see.
Car park a bit small , may be best to park on street if leaving early, to prevent being blocked in.
Nothing to dislike.
shower in ensuite could have been better.
