  It was only a few minutes from the railway station and the train links to and from central London were excellent. A lovely leafy, quiet suburb. Although there was modernisation work going on it did not interfere with any aspects of our stay there. The new kitchen dining area is superb. Fran and Viv were very helpful and friendly and made us feel most - I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Melrose house and would highly recommend this B and B to anyone who enjoys quiet, comfort, and hospitality. Mrs. Roberts, the proprietor, is friendly and accommodating, while her staff, son, and daughter, are exceptional hosts as well. The full breakfast was delicious, filling, provided a wonderful variety of cold and hot choices, prepared to order. Our sleeping quarters were clean, bright and convenient to the private access.   The Hotel itself was beautiful and had a very nice cosmopolitan feel to it. The room was extremely comfortable and I enjoyed being able to pop outside into the courtyard. The people couldn't possibly have been nicer and made me feel welcome the second I walked in the door. Location second to none. - The rooms were both lovely but the best thng about the hotel was the staff they were friendly and so helpful they really made our stay comfortable nothing was too much trouble. We left a couple of personal items behind and Sergei located them though house keeping and mailed them on to us. We had cockatails in the bar after dinner out and they were superb and the atmosphere was great.

  This hotel was a breath of fresh air for London on a budget. It is absolutely brand new, we arrived at 12:30 and were given early check in and an upgrade to an executive room. Each staff member was friendly and efficient.
