Great location in central York, also one of the only hotels that allow one-night only booknigs. The rooms were lovely, great bathrooms all newly refurbished and airy. I left my sat-nav on show in my car, they even phoned me while I was out to let me know and then went to my room found my car keys and got it out for me! Would definitely stay here ag
... τι λέει ο κόσμος » ain. - This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel 53. Its location is excellent, close to all the local amenities and attractions. The hotel staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is very good and I would really recommend this hotel.

Really central. Literally minutes from everything you would want to see. Apartment was well furnished and very comfortable. Brilliant apartment in very good location right in the centre of York, but still nice and quiet.
Very comfortable and good value, we would recommend to Friends and Family and visit again ourselves.

Staff very accommodating, fantastic value for the money - lovely (if a wee bit old and tired) room with very carefully thought out details such as quality hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room (with real cream for the drinks - not powered stuff). All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and hot options cooked to order. All the big attractions are within easy walking distance. Close access to walking the city walls, great views and it's free!

The Hotel is placed very convineantly, close to the train station, on the river front and on the door step of the York Dungeons and York centre. The staff were extremely helpful and suggested that we change our roomto meet my mother's needs (she'd hurt her foot at work and is scared oftravelling in lifts so we'd have needed to climb 6 floors to get to ourroom). They couldn't do enough to help and with the stress of Christmasthis really was a refreshing break from the norm! - travelling with

( i ordered every night of my stay). just in front of the river, i had the river veiw. it was great.

The hotel room was excellent; neat pristine and staffed by wonderful staff. I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone there the atmosphere was fantastically relaxing it had a very homely feel to it and was within 10 minutes stroll of the Lowthers pub, 5 minutes from the river and 2 Minutes from 'the wall' conspicuous in York. We had an 8 month old baby with us and the guest house were great with accommodating him - cot and high chair provided. They also assisted us with drying some of his clothes which was fabulous.
The breakfasts were amazing.
Also, the rooms were reasonably sound proof which helped our baby get a good night's sleep and also meant other guests didn't hear him!

The people in the reception were very friendly. They allowed us to check in early. The room was clean and in perfect conditions. In fact, this hotel looks like a 4-5 stars hotel. We were exceptionally well looked after. Staff were very helpful, friendly and above all the service given was exceptional. I had been before, but this stay seemed perfect. - Excellent Hotel, In the Centre of York staff are very friendly and food outstanding. Would definitly recommend
