The staff were very good and helpful- restaurant very acceptable with a very good (eat as much as you want) breakfast.
The rooms were typical Premier Inn-so you know what to expect and you know the quality to expect (Good).
Excellent location for the rail station and a short walk in to town. -

Staff were young but so polite, they were a credit to themselves and to premier inn.
Rooms quiet, bed huge, all staff in all areas acknowledged us, we have stayed in premier inns before but the service here was exceptional

Close to the main train station and to one of the city gates giving
access to the city walls. Easy walking distance to the sites of the old
city. Effective air conditioning, which was necessary during the week we

Bar Convent is lovely. It's cheap, clean, safe, quiet, comfortable, welcoming and convenient for central York.
It isn't luxurious, but you don't choose to stay in a working convent if you want luxury. Everything you need is there and more, including a huge garden which is a big plus in York city centre.
It's also wonderful as a solo traveller to stay somewhere that doesn't make you feel like a second-class guest and has thought about the facilities you'll want, like a communal sitting room, din

The staff are amazingly friendly and really made us feel welcome. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and all round nice. It felt more like a family hotel than a chain hotel (and I mean that as a positive comment.)

The people in the reception were very friendly. They allowed us to check in early. The room was clean and in perfect conditions. In fact, this hotel looks like a 4-5 stars hotel. This is a quaint hotel. Best accessible via car. However, easy accessvia bus. Should indicate bus route from downtown. Place is veryclean,beds are very comfortable. Good value for the money. Great location in central York, also one of the only hotels that allow one-night only booknigs. The rooms were lovely, great bathrooms all newly refurbished and airy. The staff were extremely helpful and suggested that we change our roomto meet my mother's needs (she'd hurt her foot at work and is scared oftravelling in lifts so we'd have needed to climb 6 floors to get to ourroom).
