  Nice staff, very friendly, very clean, excellent for a night. Pub in cellar, quite loud but just far enough so it didn't really bother us. Breakfast very basic but okay, three large breakfast-tables to cater the many guests. For one night or a weekend it's definitely recommended. Location is great, close to St Pancras/Kings cross. Lovely breakfast (good choice of musli/flakes/etc). Nice big kitchen for your own cooking.

  We were "Upgraded" to another Grange Hotel on the opposite side of the road. BUCKINGHAM HOTEL. This was even better than the Lancaster. The `Ratings` shown above are in fact for this Hotel.   We enjoyed the facilities, the flat was always warm, comfortable & had plenty hot water for a shower, more importantly it was really clean throughout and it's location was ideal.   I liked that it was always clean everywhere and that the staff were always so nice and helpfull. I also liked that the hotel was open 24/7 so you didn't have to worry about getting back there too late. Another thing that I appreciated were the guards outside when it got late, because it felt more safe. All in all I'm very happy with my stay there and I'd recommend The Generator to anyone going to London - The bar in the hostel is awesome. The general atmosphere of the place is great - definitely the way to go if you want to meet other young people and have a damn good time. Drinks prices in the bar weren't too bad - £2.20 on all drinks (except doubles!) and the kareoke was fun. Staff were very friendly too.

  Warm and welcoming. Food excellent except for one entree and lack of chef for breakfast early one morning but choices were great. Fantastic location especially for original tour bus and St Pauls and Waterloo station although directions from station could have been clearer or more precise it took us three attempts. My partner has MS and the manager went out of his way to make sure all was ok for us. He was just very kind and helpful. The man on reception when we checked in was excellent too.

  The staff were great, helping out where ever possible. Room was neat and had all that was needed to make my stay comfortable. I will definately stay there again. - Reception was available 24 hours and even when we left they kept our luggage till late in the evening. Breakfast was very good, and the rooms were kept tidy.
