  We stayed at the hotel for my husband's 50th birthday. He is keen on trains so I requested, and got, a room overlooking the station. He was in his element. We arrived at 1pm and went in to drop our bags off but the staff were able to check us into our room which was a bonus. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Spa area is nice ...we swam early in the morning and had the pool to ourselves...but it IS small! Breakfast was included in our stay and it was fab!   Everything about the Charlotte Street Hotel impressed us - the hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained, the staff were excellent, and the room was perfect.   From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the warm friendliness of the reception staff then taken in to the lounge area for a drink and some afternoon tea. Very good gym facility. Additionally all the soft drinks are complimentary and nespresso machine and tea available in the room, very convenient. Definitely recommend!

  NIcely equipped bedroom with an Incredibly comfortable bed and a really nice shower (a proper rain shower). The staff are helpful and friendly. The room service breakfast is very good, the "Montcalm breakfast" easily serves two and is then quite a good deal. Very good attention to detail to the smaller things. Outstanding cleanliness. Incredibly polite staff. The decor was superb, which coupled with the above gives weight to the 5 star rating

  This was absolutely the most comfortable bed either of us has ever slept in. Seriously, it was the greatest bed of all time. We loved the wet room shower! Very cool.
