It is a suite hotel less than a ten minute walk from the main Railway Station and ten seconds off the Royal Mile. 1) Staff (Professional, Polite, Helpful and Courteous ... of course not
to forget - very friendly too)
2) Location - There cant be a better hotel than this....superb ! Perfect location - closer to the station. However, you will surely need to take a cab from the Metro to the Hotel (if carrying heavy luggage) 2nd option would be to climb around 108 steps towards the hotel (from the metro station). Taxi would not cost more than 4 Pounds from the train station.

The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. This was without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable UK stays I have ever had. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The location on the Royal Mile was perfect for our stay, within easy reach of the things we wanted to do. It was easy to drive too, with easy parking behind the hotel. It was also easy to get out of Edinburgh from this location. With this in mind I will be using this hotel again for future visits to Edinburgh. - Interesting food in Tapas style bar.

The staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed being in the surroundings of the old part of the hotel. It had character as well as having modern facilties. The location was not only ideally central it was also very picturesque being surrounded by the georgian buildings around the square. We look forward to our next stay. - Everything, service,

The older gentleman working in the reception was a perfect example of hospitality and he also seemed to have a great knowledge of Edinburgh, which he shared generously.

The hotel was convenient to both old town and new town areas. Staff was lovely and super helpful. We ate at both restaurants downstairs and really enjoyed them. The room was not huge, but it was very nice, clean, and had a large bathroom with a large walk in shower. The airport shuttle is right across the street and there are always taxis waiting outside.

The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. Soft leather chairs and twinkly lights. The room was excellent with quality fittings and nights sleep. No noise at all through to the room and it was Christmas party time.
Continental breakfast was really wholesome so much so that my husband didn't miss his usual cooked breakfast.

The hotel is an excellent example of how to restore an old building (with history) into a very comfortable & friendly place to stay. We found the staff to be very helpful & welcoming. The dinning experience in the restaurant could not be faulted.
I liked the idea of the room names (but would have liked the names to have some relation to the buildings history).

The apartment has an excellent location. It was clean and comfortable
although quite small. The parking is very convenient with a connecting
lift (once you have the key) although it is quite expensive. There are
