Set in 125 acres of formal gardens, this 13th-century double-moated castle offers luxurious yet modern bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. Access is via the private gated entrance and guests have free parking in a private car park. The rooms at Hever Castle are beautifully appointed and individually styled with some rich fabrics and antique furnishing. They are located in the Astor Wing and the Anne Boleyn Wing of the castle and set apart from the area's the day visitors have access to. The Moat Restaurant serves lunch on days when the castle is open to the public. It offers a choice of hot and cold food, and a variety of freshly made sandwiches and castle-baked cakes are also available. There is a wonderful pub within walking distance for evening meals. Breakfast is served to guests in the Astor Wing or the Anne Boleyn Wing. The castle has historic 16th century portraits, paintings, furniture and tapestries. Access is included in the bed and breakfast rate and the gardens can also be privately enjoyed by guests outside of opening times. The golf club is just a 2-minute drive. Local places of interest include Chartwell and Penshurst Place.

Beautiful, historic setting. Most interesting collection of paintings to look at as you make your way to breakfast. Very helpful, professional staff. Found the Castle totally absorbing. The Guide Book covered the entire history of the Castle over many years. I knew of the Anne Boleyn connection, but not that of the Astor family. The gardens were vast and very well tended and the Gift Shop and Restaurant were very tasteful. We had no particular expectation but were totally delighted with the who.

Caroline made us feel welcome prior to arrival my answering questions via e mail. A lovely, relaxing weekend & the Castle & Grounds are stunning which when encompassed with the 5 Star Accommodation makes Hever almost impossible to beat! We will certainly be back in Summer when we can see the Gardens in their full glory! Steve & Nicky. Both my wife and I are reading about this period and Anne and Mary and to actually have stepped into their footsteps was /is quite incredible and fantastical! Hever is so wonderful and so beyond the "touristy" sites so ubiquitous in UK. What a fascinating history and that Anne actually was instrumental in transforming UK history and having stepped into her period was the most memorable part of our stay at Hever. I highly, highy recommend Hever to friends and family. Excellent furnishings, especially the four poster bed, just as you would imagine inside a castle - very romantic. The complimentary tickets for Hever Castle & Gardens was an extra treat. We thouroughly enjoyed our visit and would definately recommend others to visit Hever, as it simply beautiful! The Henry VIII inn recommended by the staff at reception is also worth a visit, as it is only a five minute walk away and served very good hot fresh food. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the receptionist, we could not fault anything at all with our stay. It is simply so tranquil and almost magical to be able to walk around that gardens when all the public have left for the day. An unforgettable experience that will stay with us forever and made even more enjoyable by the quality of the staff, the room, the surroundings and the food. Would recommend this to anyone. Fantastic place to stay. All the staff from reception to maids and waiters (and even the chef) seemed excited to work there and wanted to talk about it. The whole environment is authentic and historical with real 17C paintings in all the corridors. Beautiful room and a snooker room to die for, plus a comfortable lounge. More like staying at an ancestral home than in a hotel. And you get access to Hever Castle and the grounds. Can hardly find words to describe how impressed we were. From the moment we arrived up to our departure we enjoyed every single minute. The staff was so attentive and friendly, breakfast and service was excellent. Our room, the Astor wing, the castle, the gardens, all this will stay in our memory as the best accommodation we experienced on our tour round England. Will definitely come back. Loved time around the castle with plenty to see and learn. The exhibition was extremely well done. Also loved the Italian gardens. Good coffee. Jousting was more for the children on that day (9th Aug). Excellent breakfast. Very efficient staff at breakfast also Caroline the booking lady. We took a lady of 74 for her birthday and she has been telling everyone to make a visit!. The staff: Can't fault them, they are so attentive, thoughtful and considerate and above all extremely welcoming and seem to care about where they work. The Room: Total luxurious comfort !! The Breakfast: Second to none, beautifully cooked and presented, with a wide variety of choice. The accommodation and location in general: Absolute quality in a tranquil and beautiful setting. We liked the very friendly staff welcoming us , carrying the luggage etc. The service during breakfast .Very polite and quickly ! The bed - and bathroom were tastfully decorated ! And it was lovely walking through the beautiful castle and gardens at the moment you liked it ! Sitting reading in the library did me feel like Anna Boleijn !!!!( joke ). Absolutely fabulous place to stay; the nicest bed and breakfast accomodation I have ever visited. Hever Castle is in very close proximity and is fascinating to visit - free castle entry is included in your stay. The gardens are glorious. Exceptional staff, delicious food, outstanding all round. I would highly recommend a stay here. The history of Hever. It is also so pretty with the moat and swans and lake. Beautifully looked after by the present owners. We really appreciated staying in the luxurious Astor wing, and our room was just lovely, very comfortable bed and the breakfasts were scrumptious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A perfect stay!!. I felt that we got alot more than we expected! A truely fantastic experience. This place provides genuine quality, because they understand the importance of detail and the value of providing more than the customer expects. Or perhaps very high quality is simply second nature to the Hever Castle folk... Setting was stunning, staff very friendly and courteous. Room was lovely - the shower was amazing! The castle and grounds are beautiful. Being allowed to walk the grounds in the evening when the place had closed was a great touch - felt like it was our own private gardens!. The room and decor was excellent, as was the breakfast, being close to the castle and having the loverly gardens to walk around at any time was a bonus, you really need more then one visit to explore the castle properly so it was nice to be able to go on both days. Everything. We travel loads and this place thrilled us so much. It was stunning, breathtaking and captivating. The rooms are so comfortable and the views a knock out. Complimentary access to castle and grounds is a lovely treat. We were blown away by the place. I thought the rooms very pleasant, and my main reason for the visit was that I had two American ladies staying with me and could think of nothing better for them to stay in such a lovely setting and of course the history. Friendly staff. luxury room, good choice at breakfast, efficient service, complementary admission to Castle and Gardens, which on their own are well worth the visit. Plus the advantage of being able to visit gardens before the "tourists" arrive. As said before, staying here is wonderful. Although we had a slightly smaller room this time, the Astor Wing is beautiful and lovely, and the castle and grounds are pretty extras that are beautiful too. We will be back!. The Astor Wing is a beautiful Tudor style building. Five star accommodation. Only one problem for us - the lighting in the bathroom wasn't very strong for shaving. Nothing. This is not a slight to Hever but the journey there is quite amazing and at times difficult to reach..we got lost(even with Satnav!)..but then we imagined Anne and Mary returning there !. Nothing at all. Nothing not to like. We would encourage anyone to stay there. We could not stay any longer. Cannot think of anything other than the wasps and not your fault!. Absolutely nothing!. Nothing. Nothing!. Knowing i`m going to have to wait a while before our next visit... There is no doubt in my mind, we are returning. Not really a criticism as such as the King Henry VIII pub right outside the grounds was a great pub and the food was lovely, but maybe a little bar that was open until 10.30/11 would be a good idea - as I say not really a criticism but the music room would have been a lovely place to sit and have a post-dinner drink. we stayed for two nights, the first we slept very well but the next night was not so good as the above occupants were very noisy, walking up and down and talking quite loudly to almost 13.30 am and when later using the toilet you could hear every trickle. we do realise that this is an old and historic building but it`s a pity there is not a little more soundproofing. We had a cold mushroom each on our breakfast plate. That is the only thing I can think about that was not utterly perfect and wonderful. Praise indeed. The rest of the breakfast was delicious. Sadly for me, I had recently had a knee replacement and stupidly forgot to take my painkillers with me! The staff were unable to help and of course it was my fault. But to add to that I couldn't believe that Hever was under the flight path and it went on from 11.00pm and 4.00am! I didn't think flights were allowed all through the night. So as you might imagine, not much for me!!. N/A. The only criticism I would have is that there were no facilities to have a drink or snack within the B&B. Add a small bar inside the B&B and you'll add to the excellence of the experience. Put reception out of hours telephone number in prominent place on website. Nothing. That I had to leave!. Nothing, all positives. It was a pain having to be back by 12.30 (they gave us a half hour extension from midnight) from the wedding we attended at the golf club - it was a bit like Cinderella having to get the bride back on time! Not sure if they really would have locked us out but not willing to take the chance! Service at breakfast a bit haphazard. There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like. I could not find any fault. The mattress was a little uncomfortable and it was very hot in the room. Have to say it was a little bit spooky at night especially when all the staff leave at midnight! Some people might like this though!. Tea and coffee in room would have been nice. It would be nice if there was some type of transportation to the golf course for those guests who do not have vehicles. There was no onsite dining except for breakfast. The breakfast was good but no close place for dinner. They had no non-feathered blankets. Having to go home!. Not a thing. We nearly missed breakfast! An alarm clock in the room next time please. The room we got was not as depicted on the internet site - it was smaller, no fireplace, no 4-poster bed, no view... Also, the adverts are misleading -- the rooms are not actually in the castle, they are in the Astor wing which built in the 1920's and although it is lovely, its not a stone castle with history. N/A. Impossible to control heating in the room . Staff could not fix it either . Squeeky door in the bathroom.10 30 is rather too early to check out.Also breakfast slot is much too short. Everything was lovely. No evening dining or bar, but Henry VIII Inn very close and excellent for food. nothing.

Important information to guests

Please note that Hever Castle Luxury Bed and Breakfast can only take bookings up to 8 weeks in advance in the Astor Wing and 6 months in advance in the Anne Boleyn Wing. Please note that guests staying in bedrooms in the Astor Wing have access to a lounge and a Billiards Room. Anne Boleyn Wing guests have a beautiful breakfast room to enjoy during their stay with castle views and also have access to the Astor Wing lounge and Billiards Room if the Astor Wing is not booked out for a private event. Please note that there is no access to the property after midnight. Please be aware that although the accommodation may be open, Hever Castle and it's gardens are not open every day from 01 November to 31 March. Not all bedrooms can accommodate extra beds or baby cots for children. These are subject to availability at the time of booking. Some rooms offer a double sofa bed, only available for children under 12 to use. The cost is GBP 50 for 1 child. If 2 small children are sharing a sofa bed an extra breakfast will be charged for at check-in. Please inform the property in advance if children will be accompanying you. For all Medley Court bookings, a security deposit of GBP 250 is required upon arrival for incidental charges. This deposit is fully refundable upon check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation.
