The Buchanan Arms is in beautiful countryside in the heart of the conservation village of Drymen, near Loch Lomond. Facilities include free Wi-Fi, evening meals in the restaurant and bicycle rental.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, a squash court and a gym. Yoga, aerobics, and other classes are available.

Drymen is at the start of the Rob Roy Way, the unofficial long-distance footpath to Pitlochry.

The warm, welcoming bar extends to a lounge and conservatory lounge. The lounges are spacious and bright, and have light meals, soothing music and friendly service. The hotel bar, or ‘whisky embassy’, has over 40 malts to choose from.

Location of the hotel within the loch lomond area was perfect The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The facilities swimming pool etc. were excellent and the staff very courteous,well mannered and friendly. The hotel had a very friendly atmosphere and the staff were veryresponsive to all my needs. Food was also very good.

I found the hotel to be in need of upgrading. The bar area and conservatory were very pleasant and the leisure facilities were adequate. The position of the hotel gave good access to the local area. Nothing, will be looking to book through your web site again soon, to book this hotel. only gripe was, the price of a house wine. thought over £4 for a glass was a bit much.the restaurant did not have much variety and the breakfast in the morning was extremely poor. Plumbing could have been better. Hot water did not run fast enough to fill bath, but shower was fine.The food coould have been better. It was not very hot for both an evening meal and breakfast. Having to leave!. no air conditioning. room decor a little old and tired. Hotel was extremely hot in some areas - moved room at suggestion of receptionist on 2nd night as unable to sleep due to excessive heat on 1st night. Some staffing issues in restuarant both nights however this did not affect us. There are a lot of steps and corridors. No minibar or hairdryer but as we were only there for 1 night it was not a problem. Yes the same dinner menue every night. Corridors too hot. No sanitary protection available and caught short!Power cut. coach partys. Meals service very slow. no disabled facilities. The room was badly in need of refurbishment (peeling wallpaer, horrible bathroom) as was the dining room where the curtains were torn and grubby. The room I stayed in required modernisation - e.g. the carpet had holes in due to wear. The shower was leaking and flooded the bathroom.My room was very cramped witha starnge odour, the bar staff were generally miserable and the lighting was extremely harsh in the dining area. The room was not what I expected it to be. The guest rooms are in dire need for refurbishment. But the staff was really friendly and helpful.Much of menu not available, duck served very poor, salmon kebabs dry. Nolift - was with elderly mother and given rooms long way apart. Our room was of a very poor standard. Shabby and dated décor, broken furniture, tv not functioning properly, dated and very grotty bathroom. The restaurant was also very shabby and in need of renovation and the food certainly was not worth the very high price tag! I was very upset about the standard of the hotel as I had booked it for a special occassion.The room was appauling. The bathroom was not cleaned proerly. The shower curatin was mildewed and the tiles were terrible with dirt where the gout should be. On arrival nobody to help with luggage to a room which was along several corridors and stairs with cleaing trolleys and hoovers left as obstacles.The room windows had no security locks and as we were on the ground floor you could not leave a.
