We were going to a Saturday night birthday party event too far from home for it to be easy to make it home by taxi on the night. We chose the Ship and Castle because it was a short taxi ride from the party venue. It was therefore a bed and breakfast stop only for us. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The bathroom had been newly refurbished and was clean and up to date. The bedroom was a little more dated but perfectly comfortable. The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise -a really e. όλα τα σχόλια »
Staff were lovely and really friendly. They went out of their way to help with any issues we had. We stayed in room 1 which was a treat too. Quite a large and luxurious room and easily accommodated my husband and I and two children. Breakfast was served from 7am to 11am, which i thought was a very generous time span, and offered a huge choice and never failed to impress. We were all more than happy with the place and were quite sad to leave. If we ever were to travel to Bristol again, we would .
The hotel room was of a decent size and well furnished. The bathroom had a good sized shower and free toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep, we didn't have any problem with any noise as someone previously stated. Breakfast was excellent. An overall enjoyable stay. We will stop there again in the future.
The bedroom was gorgeous. Only thing wrong for me was the lack of a bath. There was a bath sized shower but when on holiday, only a bath will do when paying and staying at a place like this.
The staff were very friendly and service was excellent. The staff made us feel at home and very welcome and can not find a bad word to say about our experience at the ship and castle.
The whole experience was great. They were very courteous and attentive, quickly altering an issue with the bill, no questions, and providing a great evening meal and breakfast.
Well appointed room with cafetiere coffee, smiley pleasant staff, excellent food with generous portions and quiet in the room even though it was Christmas party week.
It was a very hot night and the lovely room we booked was unbearable. They had no hesitation on moving us to a cooler room with 3 fans!!
The food was excellent.
The room was really nice and a good size. Nice meal in the pub restaurant. Really nice breakfast.
lovely large room and kingsize bed plus great shower. And excellent food and amazingly good value.
Good location for the business trip but not for entertainment (ie pubs showing sky sports etc).
The friendly welcome, the cleanliness, the evening restaurant food and overall service.
Ideal location for me close to family who live in congresbury. Good value for money.
Bright, airy and comfortable room with good facilities. Good choice for breakfast.
Good location for Bristol airport, staff very friendly and good food.
Excellent food in the restaurant
Modern room design

good food &friendly staff good location to Bristol airport.
Room with river view! also restaurant food of high quality.
The food in the evening was excellent and very good value.
staff & food were great for the evening meal.
Room facilities and decor
Breakfast was excellent.
Excellent value for money.
friendly staff.
Style.
Location for overnight stay on way to West Country where access to our destination was not until 3 pm. Very comfortable. Restaurant excellent and obviously very popular --- full on Thursday evening. Room well soundproofed against road traffic --- at junction, quite busy at peak. All facilities in room, although WiFi reception not great, poss better in bar etc. Inclusive breakfast excellent both in choice and quality. Staff very pleasant.
The bedroom & bathroom were tastefully decorated and a good size & the bed was very comfortable. Good sound system where you could dock an ipod & a wall mounted flat screen TV.
The bathroom had a good sized double shower, nice toiletry accessories & quality bath towels.
The room was also well equiped with a kettle, good hairdryer, iron & board.
Very friendly staff, lovely decor, easy to find and only 7 miles from beach.
Very clean, good value, decent restaurant on site.
Room daughter had was very spacious.
Room and food was excellant.
Room,.
The old inn pub in the village.
When we first arrived, the room was stuffy. We then found the windows hard to open. They are old and a little flmsy - they just need refurbishing. Not a huge problem.
As it was quite warm on our first night there, we were a bit stuck for being able to open the window as our room was on the front of the building and right next to a moderately busy/noisy road.
They didn't sell the brand of lager that we drink. There was a lack of signal on our phones inside the building but we did find the same problem in a couple of other establishments in the area.
The food and service was excellent.
The only minor issue was not enough milk in the rooms. I could have asked for more!!.
Internet connection in Boma room was one - two bars.
The noisy extractor fan right outside the window - I had specifically asked to be away from this in a quiet room - therefore NO sleep, and the breakfast - so disappointing, not even offering toast!.
nothing.
Not much for children on the menu in the restaurant or for breakfast.
I left the hotel early due to a flight at 6am. It Would have been nice to have a breakfast in a box to take with me. Breakfast was not deducted even though the staff knew I wasn't having any.
bedroom a little too warm during the night.
Lounge rather dated, more like old persons home.
When booking online we had asked for a suite but on arrival were directed to a standard room.
we were in room 5, directly above the kitchen & commercial fan that was running all night !!!!!!.
didn't sleep a wink !!!!!!!.
the breakfast was very basic with no cerials or juices.
The food menu was good but a bit limited for my taste.
There was only real ale and larger, no Guinness which has the biggest downside for me. However, this is nice pub in the village near the church.
black mould all over the wooden window frames in the bathroom.
En suite too small. Needed new window.
WiFi as above. Drink facilities in room very mean. Only enough milk for one cup of tea/coffee each per stay ( two of us ). Did manage to get a small jug with fresh milk from the kitchen but as no fridge it was off by morning. For the sake of half a dozen sachets of UHT it was an aggravation. Shame.
We stayed during the very hot spell & unfortunately the room was far too hot. There was a tiny fan which was of no use at all. As we were road side, having the windows open was noisey.
Hot water run out in the evening so could shower after a day at the beach and after showering our baby in the morning there was no hot water again, due to other guests also using up the hot water.
Poor internet, i had a lot of client emails to send and it was difficult. Virtually no phone signal on any network, this is not the fault of the hotel but it relevant to business travellers.
Staff in restaurant inefficient.
Menu, couldn't open tab at bar despite being resident. No atmosphere.
Noisey room close to busy traffic junction . Rooms to hot.
