Family owned by Father & Son managing a very attentive and professional team of staff with friendly attitudes who made our stay a real pleasure in a hotel with old world charm which provides all the facilities expected by the modern day traveler. Excellent restaurant in nice surroundings offering varied evening menus & used by locals which always says a lot about the good quality food and value for money. Boscastle itself still retains its character, history and natural beauty whilst m.
όλα τα σχόλια » From the moment we arrived, we were looked after really well by attentive staff. They took us to our room, carried luggage, explained the wifi and advised about booking a table in the restaurant. The restaurant was lovely, and though we thought we'd eat elsewhere at least once, we ended up eating at the Riverside every single day. The menu is great and varied, and the food is of high quality. Something for everyone. It was very clean, spacious feeling in an old building with a lot of character. We had a standard room, and it was a lot nicer than deluxe in other places. The food was awesome (fresh lobster caught that day in the local bay) and the staff very friendly. The carpark was free overnight. The coast and harbour are sensational. Lots of opportunities for good walking. My partner and I are planningto return for it. The location of the Riverside was superb. The restaurant was excellent in the evening, BUT most of all the amazing breakfasts, they were the best we'd ever had on any holiday. So much choice, and you could 'mix and match ' on anything. Our particular favourite was the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Very friendly and helpful staff made it a joy to stay here...We'll be coming again as soon as we can. on arrival we were shown to our room not just given the key, the room was immaculately clean and fresh, plenty of tea bags etc, a beautiful view of the river outside our window, such a comfortable bed and plenty of space to hang your clothes, breakfast was amazing and so much of it, every member of staff was friendly and made you feel like they really wanted you there, we cant wait to go back again. The room was excellent, spacious, clean with tasteful furniture. The views were lovely over the surrounding area. The highlight was the breakfast of smoked fish, which was perfectly cooked, fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. This beautiful family run hotel invited us in for three fabulous nights of comfort, spectacular food, and supurb service. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff - I can't remember the last time I felt so well cared for whilst staying away....and the Maxi English Breakfast is the best ever!!!. Friendly and helpful staff,lovely location and the room we were given was stunning with views of the river,also very ckean and loved the little bag of toiletries which was a nice touch.excellent choice at breakfast and very good food served to us when we bookedfor dinner,will definately stay there again. Lovely location close to Tintagel and walking distance to the harbour. Situated next to the river with outside gardens where you can eat and drink. We don't normally eat at the hotel we are staying at, but did in this case and the food was excellent, as was the service. Having last seen the Hotel just after the Floods,I was impressed the way it had recovered. The Staff were friendly and helpful and the Dining Room served great food. Our room overlooked the River and Garden, where we enjoyed a quiet drink after a days touring the area. Everything was excellent. Manager was particularly helpful. Nothing wrong with the hotel, just a warning. Be prepared that you have to walk a few minutes with your luggage, because Cornish villages predate carparks. Nothing at all. Only negative if anything the kettle was to big for the bathroom basin. The only downside was the fact that there was no shower curtain.This made having a shower tricky without splashing onto the floor of the bathroom. I simply cannot fault this hotel - my wife and I were 100% happy with our stay!. Boscastle is very touristy, but that comes with the town, ot does quieten down after 18:00. No parking at the hotel but there is a public parking very nearby, so you need to haul the luggage. Once at the hotel getting it upstairs is also a small challenge! But the staff did offer to help so no real issue. Thought the car parking would be a problem but with a bit of help and forethought, wasn't!. Wi-fi was intermittent, but it did add to the away from it all experience. When we got to our room we found that the hand held shower was only suitable for use whilst sitting in the bath. My husband who has rheumatoid arthritis and is unable to sit in the bath found it difficult to wash. I understand letsbookhotel.com have been now appraised of this. My husbands poached egg was rather overdone one breakfast. The windows were a little old with no blinds (had to remember to close curtains as eye level with rooms opposite ) and they rattled a little with only a slight wind. Decor of room a bit dated. our room was a little small but fine for our needs. Very steep staircase which is difficult for 'elderly' people with suitcases. However, a young staff member carried our bags upstairs. Parking is off site. Arrived at 6.30pm and the restaurant was packed and they couldn't guarantee I would get a table for dinner so ate elsewhere. On the plus side it is a reflection on quality of the food if the restaurant is so popular. Having to leave. The bathtub without a shower curtain was not good because if you tried to shower the entire bathroom would get wet. Nothing to mention here as nothing the B&B could do to improve as it was an excellent. Bed was a little uncomfortable, tv bracket was broken so TV faced down. No car park - had to use public one about 150 mtrs away. a bit of a cool welcome when we first arrived, but probably because the hotel inspectors were due to arrive! it got back to normal very quickly. That English weather! But beautiful all the same. Our room didn't have a door to the bathroom only a curtain although we have stayed in this hotel before and always had a door through to the bathroom. The staff began clearing away unused tables before we'd ordered our dessert, making us and others feel no longer welcome in the restaurant area. The bathroom had a bath and mixer shower tap but no shower curtain / screen. There wasn't anything. Although tea and coffee facilities were provided in room I did not like the only visible plug for the kettle being on the wall next to bathroom door and the kettle had to be put on the floor. Just be aware that the river outside is very loud; we liked it but I can imagine some people might find it hard to sleep. But that's not to say we don't recommend this place highly - we do!. no fixed overhead shower, no public bar area. Nothing. Bedroom decor a bit dated but not a huge issue as the rest ofte facilities and location are excellent. There was'nt anything we did not like. No hotel car parking. Breakfast could be served earlier For buisness users. Although its not their usual clients. Squeaky floorboards from room above.
