All staff were very friendly, yet efficient and professional. The room was better than I expected for the price. We were given a free room upgrade on arrival. ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » election of bars and restaurants. - I liked the hotel room with balcony looking over Ambleside. Also we took full advantage of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym. The breakfast was excellent and the waiter service first class. We found all staff very helpful and there to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be visiting again very soon.

Everything! The staff were wonderful and the food excellent. - Felt more like a 4* plus hotel, not a 3. Nice details like great towels and fresh milk available for in-room coffee. Quality decor in room, nice bathroom too. Very convenient to town without being in it.

In the village are some great restaurants (Doi Intanon, Fellini's) and cozy lunchrooms (Bilbo's cafe, Applie Pie cafe).
You can go hiking from your hotel, but also easily catch a bus to the northern and southern lakes.
Tip: walk the pretty route to Grassmere.

The room was recently and well-decorated with quality fittings including an ingenious blind. The service was very friendly - I was shown round the hotel and to my room. The service at breakfast was simply excellent. Even after I checked out and asked to stay for a bit longer, I was made to feel welcome and brought a complimentary cafetiere of coff

Dinner was delicious. Lots of soft armchairs to relax in before dinner.

clean. It's close to everything at Waterhead and only a mile from
Ambleside, with good bus service to everywhere in the Lake District.

Fiona the host was very friendly and had a good knowledge of the area offering advice and tips of where to eat and giving directions to local places.
We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable, the en-suite was small but cleaned every day and breakfast was excellent with a selection of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juices and a full cooked English made to order.
There was a TV in the room, which was very handy when faced with our good old wet, English weather.

Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights, 27th and 28th July.
Very clean comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We would recommend this BnB to anyone visiting the Windermere Lake. Just a short stroll into the town of Ambleside and 1 mile to the Lake.

A very warm, clean and well equipped room. We brought our 'well-behaved' spaniel who loved the guesthouse and our host.
The cooked breakfast was excellant.

Simon and Lisa were wonderful hosts and took care of every need. The room was lovely, spacious and had every amenity. We especially enjoyed the fancy coffee machine just outside the room and the free parking space they offered, as parking in Ambleside comes at a premium. It's merely steps away from all shops and restaurants. A huge bowl of fruit, plenty of brochures and a fridge waited for us in our cozy breakfast nook. Our 3 days there were just lovely.
