The hotel is superbly managed, and all the staff are excellently trained. This was my second stay here, and once again I greatly enjoyed my visit. We stayed at holiday inn in southend since our flight to Amsterdam was taking off from southend airport. So we ended up staying there for two nights. It was absolutely the right decision. The hotel itself was spotless. It was really clean and well maintained. Best hotel for the price. southend is a nice town for nightlife and clubs. Not so much during the days. Hotel is right next to the airport and the train station that takes u to and back from London. No cabs needed. Has a nice restaurant a

I found staff to be extremely pleasant, rooms were very clean in fact
the whole building was spotless. I would also like to mention the
Manager of the restaurant Stawberry Fields, he was very professional and
extremely well organised, Especially as it was quite busy all staff were
very friendly and helpful. -

The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It had the feel of a traditional seaside hotel, which I like. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. - We loved this hotel because breakfast is until 11:30 and we usually miss it

Very helpful reception staff including the duty manager Thomaz I think? Helped us to our room as we had to carry our sleeping child. Was very helpful on the phone and friendly and nothing was too much trouble!!
Also lady in the morning on the reception was helpful and lady at breakfast helpful and friendly towards us and our son. And best omelette

Excellent staff, I was alone with my 2 yr old boy and felt very looked
after. The staff were extremely helpful and always willing to give
little man a smile and a little chat. Will def stay again. Thank you for
a lovely relaxing stay. And excellent black out curtains little man
slept in until 8:30 I haven't had a lie in like that for a long long
time!! : )

Everything - and that's not an exaggeration!! It is a family run establishment and the husband and wife really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Letting us in an hour early owing to heavy rain. Fantastic location parking easy. Great English breakfast room facilities 10 out of 10 lovely comfortable bed. Tea coffee making facilities and biscuits too we couldn't have asked for more. TV & internet all provided .Owner's staff so friendly and welcoming we totally loved it. Worth every £ you won't beat it book it!

Outstanding staff, who went out of their way to accommodate us and give recommendations of local places to eat etc.
Excellent location on the seafront, 10 mins walk from the pier & town centre.
Neat & tidy rooms, with very nice en suite, great wifi and tv. Balcony was fabulous to enjoy the sunny weather! -

loved eating our morning and evening dinner and going down on the beach was so relaxing and calm was lovely riding along on my motability scooter with my husband to adventure land was lovely n quiet n very peaceful -

The hotel was better than expected. Nice little touches in the room such
as the mini fridge and the mini basket of sweet and crisps which we
didnt use on this occassion but it was nice to know it was there as an
option. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. Free Car Parking was a

From the minute we walked in we were struck by the friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was great, nice sea view and we even had a balcony. Food excellent, especially the recommended snack for lunch - fish and chip sandwich (recommended by the hotel MD) - which was superbly presented and with a glass of wine went down exceedingly well. Easy to find, cleanliness of the room and hotel overall, the bedroom was very well presented with beautiful furniture and linens and plenty of tea and coffee, the house and gardens well and nicely maintained, excellent breakfast, spacious luxurious room. The staff were very helpful on our arrival with helping us find space to park our large van! :)
