  We liked everything. Felt totally at home, so much so that we sat on the lounge floor in front of the 'real' fire each evening with the news papers and a drink. How relaxing is that? The people running the hotel were so friendly and helpful. We would recommend it to everyone. Only 8 rooms, but worth a 5 star hotel. Spacious room and bathroom, swimmingpool and jacuzzi ! The rooms weren't quite as nice but perfectly acceptable. The wifi was good but you have to pay for it and it doesn't reach the bedrooms - only available in the communal areas. Location is fantastic.

  This is our fourth stay at the Mercure Holland House, Bristol. We have always received the best of attention from the staff who are very pleasant to a one. Our room is always good and we mostly have been able to have the same room on each stay. Breakfast is very good and we have had some lovely dinners there.   The room was comfortable and there was a heater which proved very useful during cool, wet weather. After checking out, I was able to leave my bag at the hotel until I needed to the railway station, several hours later.
