The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at
this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about
this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run
(though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs

A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

This hotels offers rooms with big sizes, thing I really like. The room is has a nice decoration and very beautiful view to the city. Staff are so helpful and very well trained. The hotel is beautifully designed, very class with baroque-style furnishings which I love. The helpful and friendly staff especially Ms Begum Girgin is amazing who emailed us a welcome letter prior to our arrival and assisted us in anything we needed at the hotel and our city trips. Everyone else made us welcomed in the hotel, as the way they envision to impress their guests. From the moment we arrived the time we spent in this hotel was wonderful. The staff were extremely attentive, room was excellent, food was good. We were there for a specific purpose in that part of the city, but there is plenty to keep you occupied in the area and the Bosphorus only a short taxi ride away is full of activity and wonderful restaura

This is a fantastic hotel if you want to stay in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. The hotel is a few minutes walk to all the sights and in a quiet street. The staff are all excellent and very kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the view on the terrace is great. The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning staff are meticulous! Ask for a room with a water view if you can!

Everything. Hotel is amazing and brand new. Definitely it is firm 5 star hotel. I don't know what to name first design, comfort, location or quality of service everything is excellent. Staff is very kind and helpful. It was my first time in Istanbul and they completely helped me to orginize my time there. Highly recommend. -
