* I was worried about the staff attitude but i was very pleased from the way they treated us and they even upgraded our room when we asked them too

Clean Hotel and the location to visit Istanbul is perfect. Is hard to find a better location than this one. For a stroll, shopping, dinner is just around there. Places of interests are accsessible by public transports or Taxi in 5 to 10 minutes. I would stay anyway in that area since the good restaurants and other evening activities takes place there. Nice view from our room to Raxim square. Good and clean bed. The staff cooperative and helpful. The breakfast is included in the price, for that

Alcolar keban hotel was a great hotel in Istnbul. First of all,The location of the hotel is one of the best spots at Taxim. It is a lil bit away from night clubs and totally safe. I had a delightful surprise staying at the Taksim Star; very impressed by the room, soft yet crisp sheets; the bathroom was really clean, too!! The entire room was designed remarkably, very stylish and ingenious use of space. Very helpful, friendly and courteous staffs, and the location could not be better, near everything. -

Location is good - Taksim square, Istiklal street, metro, finicular, ferrys to the asian part - all within an easy reach. The area around the hotel is crammed with other hotels, small shops, restraunts for tourists. It is conveniently located to the shopping places and all means of transportation. The cafe's and restaurants around the hotel are very welcoming and serve good food with fair price. The area is quite peaceful and safe for a single traveler.

Pleasent facilities, nice breakfast and amazing view over Istanbul from the top floor. There are several convenience stores closeby and the Taxim square is only two minutes away. -

The best thing about this hotel is its owner .. Mr. Mahmood. He is one of the most polite, kind, friendly & helpful person I have come across. Whatever your problem may be, he's always ready to help. He arranges tours, gives genuine advice about where to go & where not to go & at the time of checkin makes you familiar with the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean & well designed. They gave us very nice and big room with balcon. The staff were very cooperative. Breakfast very nice. I like the hotel too much and would like to stay there again. Also the location is very good. Only the net was slow. -

The receptionists were exceptionally excellent in providing extra information for a new guest like me who did not have much knowledge about Istanbul -
