The staff were friendly and the facilities were fine. Great views of Hagia Sophia from the roof terrace.   I recently spent 5 nights in this property whilst on business in Istanbul. I would completely agree with the majority of reviews here. They actually engage with you as people rather than - In our opinion the this was the best possible place to stay in Istanbul. The views from the dining/breakfast room were stunning. In addition to this, the hotel was only a few minutes walk from the tram stop.   Location, comfort and breakfast - all faultless. Room 227 was indeed a superior room with a stunning sea view, plus tea/coffee facility. Female staff were incredibly helpful. Young male reception staff varied. Very happy to stay at Hotel Kalyon again.and thank you to all helpful and attentive staff! - Istanbul is eclectic, lively and definitely worth several days exploration! The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we requested anything. After leaving the hotel, when a problem arose, the reception staff were amazing and could not have done more to assist. The location was perfect to visit the main attractions in the city, which were within walking distance. It was also situated on the coast overlooking the Sea.
