The wonderful hotel in the heart of ancient town. We lived in apartments - it was great. Good heated room, super friendly staff (more friendly than in 5 stars hotels!!!!. 3-4 min to shopping area and 4-5 min to good small buffets and stores. Excellent !!!

The rooms at Tophane Aparts, are excellent and definitely above other hotels in the same price range. The staff were very accomodating, allowing us to check in early after a long flight from SA. Don't be put off by the buildings in the area, the hotel was the best we stayed in, throughout our trip to Turkey. -

Very good apartments. Clean rooms with new furniture: beds for adults and a child, wardrobe, table, chairs, etc. Kitchen corner, frige, gas cooker, cups, plates, and utensils.The apartmants are in the old part of Istanbul, 20-25 min walk to Hagia Sophia. 5 min to the sea embankment, a fish market and fish restaurants. Great apartment excellent decoration and newly furnished. It was very very clean, it was cleaned every day. The hotel is at the very end of Istiklal street from Taksim, so it is a bit of a 15 min walk from the big plaza (if it can be called that). -
Good location, between old city and Taksim square...just in the shopping/restaurant/clubs area! I say this is the best!

Also I found the reception personnel very available and very client and service oriented, with advises suggestions and really very welcoming. I felt like at home even when staying far away from home.
