This is a really excellent resort. The staff are customer focused and the bungalows are great value for money. Big breakfast, every morning. Your choice of Thai and farang breakfast. You will need to rent a small motor bike to get around, but that’s all part of the fun. One previous poster said that there were too many 'pensioner' around the area and the resort could do with a pool and sauna. As a long term resident of Phuket, I went to Khao Lak for some peace and quiet and wasn’t disappointed.

Located in the quieter area of Bang Niang and only a short walk through emerald plaza to the shops and restaurants, taxi journey to the busier area of Nang Thong. Staff are very friendly and helpful with any enquiries. Breakfast was truly a feast and was an absolute joy. Wifi is also provide free of charge.I stayed at this resort in January 2011. It is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. Kukai who runs the resort is so sweet and helpful. The bungalows are pretty and very comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful too and served at a sheltered table outside. If you are spending any time in Khao Lak, this is the place to go. . We had a double room (little separate house) to ourselves. Even though the hotel is not directly on the beach (about 300 m from it), it is surrounded by greenery. There is no other development on 2 of its sides, so you are left to listening to the songs of frogs and the rustling of the leaves. The family run resort is ideal if you look for a caring staff taking care of clean and tidy rooms, without useless frills. The breakfast is rich and fresh. The position is ideal to visit the beaches along the Khao Lak shore and the waterfalls and parks in the inland. Everything. Charming villas, kindness and openness of the staff. They were very keen that we had the best holiday experience. Wonderful breakfast. The crew is extremely helpfull and friendly; Breakfasts are plentiful and delicious; The rooms are absolutely sterile, cosy and neat. The staff were brilliant, very friendly an helpful. Close to beach. Very friendly staff, very comfortable, nice rooms, very quiet. Rooms big and clean Chalet to your self Staff Breakfast. staff excellent, couldn't do enough. greatful service mind. No Swimming pool but beach is nearby, so not really required. A light musty smell of mold in the bathroom. Not too bad. Nothing to be reported. Nothing. Lack of facilities, however is compensated by low cost excursions and individual approach of the hostess. Though a pool or jacuzzi would attract more people. - khao Lak itself is depressing in march with old pensioners all around, closed amenities and dark, unclear sea waters unsuitable to bathe. Didn't sell drinks in the reception. nothing. Didn't realise it wasn't on the beach. nothing.
