This hotel is the best we've stayed at in Thailand. Rooms are located in a wonderful garden with swimming pool, it is very calm and comfortable. No noise from the city, it seems you are in a little paradise. The lady that runs the villa (Pray) is a breath of fresh air, very
helpful and positive and always happy to help. I can say that
because of her we felt extreemly welcome comfortable and happy to
stay at the villa.
I have traveled to many locations and must say that the people really make a difference.
It's not a five star hotel, more like a family

Everything was great. It is a family run business and the service you receive is excellent to say the least. Was upgraded to a better room without any extra charge and stayed there for 7 nights.
It is slightly outside the city by the river but to me that was an advantage. The hotel provides free shuttle service to the main own twice a day and I can assure you that distance is not a problem. The hotel is 5 minutes driving distance from the center. motorcycle can be rented at the hotel up to 250B. Seven/ Eleven in walking distance. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable and lovley designet. Very pleasant is the jacuzzi in the room. Rooms are very clean. Staff friendly, helpful and courteous. Very good service.

Early check in was no problem. The apartment was spacious and well equipped (although children had to share double bed in 2nd bedroom).
The hotel is not very far from town and we had no difficulty getting shuttle into the night bazarre when required. Being slightly out of city was good as you didn't really hear traffic but more village type sound

My wife and I have just enjoyed a six night stay at the Grand Napat and was extremely impressed by the cleanliness and the staff, both on reception and in the restaurant. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them and their English is very good. The hotel is approximately a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the old city or a tuk tuk ride for approximately 80baht. The staff did extremely well in accomodating my needs. The room was spotless. The breakfast buffet had everything I could want. The staff were helpful, we were picked up and the car arrived exactly on time. The actual hotel and apartments are only a year old and are stylishly decorated. The staff! Incredibly helpful, gave us wonderful recommendations, helped us get taxis, red trucks, and tuk tuks. Also told us what to avoid :)
The apartment was large, clean, and comfortable. We loved the location as well...we were not in a touristy area at all, so we got to experience authentic Chiang Mai.

We took the one-bedroom apartment. The room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchenette-cum-living room was also spacious and facilities good - fridge, microwave and kettle plus stove. Would have preferred additional utensils though but above all, a wonderful hotel -

The location is right smack in the city with the night market,
Starbucks, Macdonalds and other food places at its doorstep. While in
the middle of all the action, the rooms were quiet as they faced the

We were very impressed with all the staff we came into contact with IE: Receptionists couldn't be more help full on several occasions.The breakfast restaurant staff anticipated our needs after the first breakfast session and the variety of food exceeded our expectations.The location was great as you had restaurants at the front door and the night market a cross the road.Would definitely stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay very much! My room was comfortable, quiet, clean and the shower was absolutely amazing, compared to all the other showers I've used in Thailand!

We have stayed here for three nights. Guest house is realy close to the city center, rooms are nothing special but realy good for the price we paid (we were only sleeping there). In the room there are moscito nets on the window (nice for all of us who have good blood). The owner is realy friendly and helpful. He booked us a van to Pai, elephant farm and he called us a taxi to pick us up early in the morning to go to the airport. I would recommend Cumpun guest house to all of you who are looking

Over the last years, I repeatedly travelled to Thailand. Each time I come to Chiang Mai, I stay at the Empress Hotel- in my opinion, it grants the advantages and conveniences you expect from a 4-star-hotel: spacious, well furnished rooms, perfectly equipped with air-condition, bathroom, fridge and television.

We had the 2 bedroomed apartment and it was huge! It was beautifully clean and modern and in great condition. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Although it is a 10 minute walk to the town it is very handy for the great restaurants by the river (we ate at 3 of them) and is in a quiet area so you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. Fantastic place to stay.

Loved this hotel. Very nicely run Thai hotel. Well decorated with a very Thai fell. Great location, refreshing pool. THe staff was great...they made us feel very taken care of, supported. Breakfast was great. Seems like staff really take pride in providing a great stay in every aspect. Will certainly stay here next time I am in Chiang Mai. Oh, and be sure to get some mango / sticky rice from the vendor in front of the hotel. Best I had in all of Thailland.
