the view from our balcony was stunning. the room though small was really neat and kept well for the guests.
there is a restaurant in the hotel, and served good food too. outside hotels there are lots of shops and restaurants, if u just want to explore grindelwald this is a perfect place, and its a value for money too.

We loved the location, just across from the station and central to everything.
As 2 couples, we had the adjoining rooms with shared bathroom between rooms. This worked very well as each bed room had its own hand basin.
Included buffet b/fast was excellent offering a good variety including scrabbled eggs, bacon and lovely fresh bread. We also enjoyed the meals in the downstairs restaurant, where the staff were very friendly.
Big bonus, it has an elevator.

The original room was very nice however the room offered for the last night (which was requested after the booking) was not very nice and we checked out on that day instead of staying. The hotel was nice and didn't charge us. However I think they should have told us that the room wasn't very nice before offering it for the same price as the other

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very well taken care. As the hotel was in the best location in town, we had excellent connections to trains and buses. We will for sure come back to Bernerhof. - The view was fantastic on our private patio! The bed was the most comfortable bed we had in Switzerland.

We stayed for two nights and felt our stay to be one of the best during our 8 days trip to Switzerland. An excellent and well managed family run hotel, which maintains the best standards they can. Friendly staff who loaned my wife a pair of gloves when we went up the Jungfrau railway and who made us feel really welcome.
Free parking round the back of the hotel. Don't park in the spaces with meters at the bottom of the sloped drive but go up the slope, drop off baggage at the front door and then continue round to the parking spaces at the back.

The staff/owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially helpful with childrens meals and with providing info relating to our stay in Grindelwald. The food and service very good - Hospitality was excellent, location is perfect - near the village but away from any noise. A real find.

An idyllic setting. Fantastic views of the Eiger and other surrounding peaks. The accommodation and facilities were excellent. Very close to all the great walks. Sonja made us feel very welcome. -

Although it is slightly away from the town centre, there's a free bus service (hourly) to/from the hotel which takes you there in a few minutes. Its pretty easy to get to the hotel downhill, uphill is when you want to use the bus;

I don't like the hotel near busy streets. So, I chose this place. The locaition is ideal. Not too far, not too close to the central area. The view from my room was amazing. You can get the northface of Eiger if you have a southfacing room. I think it is worth that much.

This place is absolutely top notch. It is very modern and absolutely gorgeous inside. Sitting on one side of the mountain, when the gondolas are running, all you need to do is hop on the Grindelwald gondola and make your way toward Wengen or wherever you desire to go. We just came from Chalet Bargblick. We were completely satisfied. Appartment was very nice furnished, equipped (very nice kitchen, bathroom, fireplace....) and cleaned. View on Grindenwald and mountains was wonderfull. Cog railway to Kleine Scheidegg is just very closed to the house and the station is 5 min. walk down the hill.
