  Full marks for this one. It's not a five-star hotel but it doesn't need to be. Location = perfect (two peaceful blocks out the backdoor of the SSB), there's an excellent COOP supermarket right next to the back exit of the SSB. Cleanliness = perfect (What you'd expect in Switzerland). Value for the money = perfect (considering you're in Switzer... τι λέει ο κόσμος » land. Staff = excellent (I had read that reception was closed in the middle of the day (and it was); however, I was able to leave my baggage there). - I recieved confirmation from letsbookhotel.com and the YMCA Hostel, Basel, each with different prices - 92 CHF and 99 CHF respectively. I paid the higher price, but difference was small so it didn't matter much. Also, clearer directions to the hotel are needed on your web site - I would have liked turn-by-turn directions from the station. I wandered for 25 minutes before I finally found it..

  It was a fantastic stay with this Hostel..clean.. lovely food.. quit with excellent scenery out side and great atmosphere inside... Staff was very friendly from reception to Buffet staff..accessible to public transport specially to Train Main Station.so guy if you going to Basel Switzerland please pick and booked to this place i can guarantee a 1... τι λέει ο κόσμος » 00% satisfaction... looking forward to stay in the future i am back to Swiss land - I had my passport nicked while at a bathhouse. The staff at the reception were very helpful and put up well with a panicked traveler. The babbling brook right outside is a very nice touch. Breakfast is good. Nice bread, nice cheeses, yogurt, cereals, coffee is gratis in the morning. Overall, it's a very nice hostel though only a hostel which are generally only as good as the guests who are present.

  The bed was very comfortable. The staff gave me an alarm clock when my phone was not working and the price included a travel ticket for 1 day. - The character of the place. The room itself. The location.Helpfulness of staff.
