  Beautiful. Elegant. Clean. Almost new. Great staff. Amazing location. Cheap. Air conditionning during summer. Great view (8th floor). Elevator. Security staff during night. Very quiet for central location! - I liked the location and it was a quiet hotel even though it was on a busy street.

  We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

  I just stayed for one night. Has a very central location and the room is correct. We stayed in a family room whit four beds and a bathroom. Next time in Madrid, i will come back! - The views are amazing, The location!, Nice water pressure

  The location was excellent and the hostal was really easy to find. We arrived before the check-in time and were given access to our rooms which was great. Our room was clean and we had a view which looked out on to Gran Vie. Staff were friendly and helpful.   Amazing location - right at the heart of the Callao Plaza. Very central. - The location is just near the Sol Square. The price is cheap! It's in the top of the building, you can have a good view in the balcony.

  July 2013. This pension is located just a couple of minutes from Sol, the centre of Madrid, and was a perfect base for our stay. Rooms were clean with a shower and sink, and ceiling fan. Shared toilet down the hall was clean. Wifi was fast. Staff were friendly and helpful despite not speaking English. Midday checkout is nice.   The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The room was well kept and perfect for me (traveling alone). The hostal is very quaint, very Spanish and centrally located.   Clean and comfortable room. Helpful staff. Excellent value for money. Its location near the pedestrianized area around the Plaza Mayor makes it very quiet. I have stayed in many hotels in Madrid and this was by far the quietest. - Fantastic location, just 20 metres from Plaza Mayor. Room small but very clean and all reasonable facilities.   We loved the cleanliness of the Hostal. We also enjoyed the excellent location and walking distance to historical sites and museums. Our host, Luisa was excellent, helpful and very friendly. She was there to greet us and allowed us to come back for an extra day after our train to Paris was cancelled. Her brother was also very helpful and friendly.... τι λέει ο κόσμος » We would come back to the same Hostal without hesitation next time we visit Madrid. - Loved the location, Hostal Mayor was close to major attractions such as Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. It was also very near the underground. Shower had great pressure and the rooms were very clean. In addition to this the view from the balcony was also great. Over all a nice comfortable place to stay, we enjoyed it and would recommend to others

  We made a booking for 2 nights and got a good room that was to the inside of building. There were 2 head boards, which showed that the 3rd bed was just makeshift. But we had adequate space and ample light, so I'm not complaining. A no-fuss checkin and checkout. Fabiola helped us with local travel information and spoke the best English compared to ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » the other two receptionists we came across :-) We were able to store our luggage after checkout. That the bell was answered immediately (whenever we d - This is rather a 3 star hotel not just a hostel - the rooms are small but are really cosy and comfortable; the furniture is new and there is enough place to put all your the baggage; it was extremely clean (we had our room cleaned every day); there`s free wi-fi which is fast; the personal speaks English which is quite an advantage in Spain; location - perfect - 2 mins to Gran Via and not more than 20 mins to Puerta del Sol and at the same time it was not noisy at all.
