Very nice friendly hostal in the great location of Huertas district in
the center of Madrid. Everything is walking distance and at the same
time there is no noise from the streets. Rooms are quite small, but cosy
and clean. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. The best option for
this price. -

We liked that the personnel were nice and helpful. We got the apartment because the hostel was full. The apartment was nice and renovated. The owner is a very nice lady Recommend it for those who prefers to stay with some privacy. Very quiet despite the apartment is on a very busy street. In the center. -

A really short walk to Gran Via and Sol, so the location can't be
best. Our Superior Double room was perfectly comfortable, although a
little dim as there wasn't much light from the interior-facing
window. Wifi connection was excellent. -

Staff was helpful, smiley and made you feel welcome. The place was very clean and tidy all over and the decor was quite decent with nice design touches that made it feel fresh, simple and modern. My single room was just right and the shower room was nice and everything worked as it should.

The room was good value for money. There was a flatscreen and ac and plenty of space to ve around.
As said in previous comments, there is quite a bit of sound from the street at night, but the double glazing helps reduce it to a muffle.

I am so sorry that I haven't asked the name of that super professional and kind guy at the reception. He was extremely careful, helped us out with all our questions and made sure that we were comfortable and safe all the time. The three recommendations he gave us (breakfast place, lunch place and pizza place) were all great. The hotel itself was not exactly what we were waiting for, but the location is great and everything was so easy. Recommend it.

for low budget hostel, the facilities were good, clean, neat and renovated, unlike other hostels.

Hostal La Selecta is one of the numerous mini-hotels located in one porch of the big building located in the Gran Via in the very center of Madrid. Each floor of six is divided to two-three mini-hotels. I can say nothing about others, but in La Selecta you are meeting with warm attitude. -

Excellent location near the Metro and many restaurants. Friendly, helpful people at the front desk who helped make dinner reservations for us. Good WiFi in our room. The hotel is very center located, and only 3-5 minutes from metro "Sol". The rooms were recently renovated. They are simple, but of a good size and very clean. The staff is extremely helpful! The hotel doesn`t suggest breakfast, but there are a lot of cafes nearby.
